G'day Brenton/Sonya,
Just wondering if u could provide me with an approximate cost to replace the head-gasket on a 1G-GTE (GA70) MKIII Supra with a metal one as the current head gasket has blown.
Thanks a bunch.
Dean.
PS- Car is losing water through boiling and has bubbles in the radiator but there are no leaks in the system and there is no water in the oil. radiator is brand new, thermostat is brand new but has been removed and all fans are working and so is the water pump. I have been told it is the head that has trouble.

Hi Dean,
it is very hard to quote on this without firstly confirming the problem, then assessing the damage to the head. If the head is cracked, warped or corroded then the head itself could cost a small fortune. The multi-layer metal gaskets, if available are usually around the $350 - but again would need to confirm supply on those. If you would like to speak with Brenton, he will give you a range of potential costs for the job, but we won't 'quote', as such until we know what we're quoting on. Workshop # if you want to give him a buzz - 8260 2011.
Kind regards, Sonia :D
