So because one or two people used the shoutbox inappropriately we all have to suffer - how is that fair?

Maybe make some one a designated shoutbox moderator - so all problems goes to one person -

if they cant resolve the problem - then it can be sent on the the Pres - vice etc

?????????????????

The admins are the point of call when someone gets their nose out of joint. When things get out of hand, moderating the shout box is difficult as incidents/abuse happen very quickly.

Let’s face it most, of the crew (admins & mods) are professionals/have families to look after and don’t have time to sit and babysit some members.

We know it is harsh and we will reconsider but for the next few days it will remain offline

It's a shame. No doubt there are issues to be dealt with though.

An announcement of explanation would've been terrific though.

Consideration needs to be given to the job our admin and mods do for this site - they deal with so much crap day in, day out, with little or no recognition. The majority of stuff they do goes unnoticed by most of you.

I should know - I was one for 3 years.

And what a fine admin you were pk!

But yes, obvously there was a reason for it to be turned off, i support the decision and im sure that Yiros would appreciate it if you all supported it as well.

No point crying over spilt milk kiddies! These are forums after all, not the SASupra Shoutbox, oh and forums site.

Bare with it, it will be back soon enough, and hey, who knows, it probably a good thing that it got flicked off, should make your pages load just that little bit faster now :)

it'll only find new content on topics you have looked at or posted in.
