It was mentioned I this by Mrs TEFE that AIR was relatively well priced and a posibilty.

I'd definitely be up for the idea, I can only hope it's on a day I can make it.

I suppose with all these things it takes someone to organise it and then enough people to finacially commit to make it happen. If you get a lot of heavcy nights the night before and a poor turnout these things can get pretty expensive to the club.

I'd be prepared to front up with the doh in advance.

Hagar is indeed right - this has been mentioned a few times before, but that is as far as it has gotten...

He also hit the nail on the head when he said:

Thus, an expression of interest is required to get this going. We would need a decent turnout to make this worthwhile (i'd say 20+ cars).

I guess if people are interested, post your interest here...

yep definately interested in this.

AIR, however, is not an option in the near future as the entire track is currently being resurfaced. That leaves Mallala as our only option, unless of course we want to get some members diverting traffic away from the Adelaide Street Circuit for a few hours on a weekend...joke! (and poor)

There are track days at Mallala. My best mate takes his GTR there most times. I think it cost $70 per driver

yep it was 70 dollars last year, but i think they put prices up to $90 this year. Plus you now need a CAMS lisence to participate on the track, and if you dont already have a full time lisence, Mallala states that 2 day temporary lisences can be purchased on the day for 20 dollars. So that effectively bumps the price up $40 on last year :(

I would be keen. A couple of my mates take their cars out to drift practice events at malala and i think it only cost them $90ea and they need a helmut. They are both on P's and neither have CAMS lisence. Im sure we could work something out if someone got in touch with the operator.

I'd be up for a $100 if you get a few hours on track.

Not much for a day out at such a venue, I pay that to watch someone else have all the fun on track.

Come on guy's no cops no speed limit only your ability and yor embarassment holding you back. got to be worth some cash.

oh yeah not saying it isnt worth the cash - i can imagine the amount of fun i'd have! although not sure you'd get 2 hrs of track time. they segregate it up into 4 or 5 15 minute sessions i believe...

I used to race Go-Karts and 15 min track time if your pushing it gets you going if your not used to it. if you got say 5x 15-20min sessions would be a good day out especially with say a BBQ.

Your right about 15min being long enough, probably about all the brakes would handle as well. Sounds good to me. Im up for it if we can organize it.

Cheers all

i've hit it on the road and its a pain in the arse - i think you'd probably hit it on the back straight of mallala too.
