Willshire Motor Trimmers.
466 South Road Marleston 5033
www.willshire.com.au

They did my centre console lid and steering wheel.
Good job too.
Might pay to check them out.

In regards to your seats, make sure you think about this...

Do you really want leather seats? It will get bloody hot if you leave the car out in the sun etc...

Just wanna make sure you are aware of these sorts of things before you spend a shiteload of cash on this.... :friends:

Mate - I'd absolutely love full leather interior. Moreso if it were genuine leather.

But thats (what I wrote above) the only thing holding me back.

About 3 months ago, I came across some pretty cheap MKIV seats that I was thinking of purchasing and retrimming in leather. Then I was going to chuck them in my car and decide whether I liked cloth seats or leather seats better.

Kicking myself now I didnt do it. :punish:

p.s. The rear seat isnt leather...

PK, are you sure its not leather in the rear? I gave mine a test, you put a little water on the seat, leave it for a few seconds then wipe off, there should still be a darker shade because the leather has soaked up some moisture.
Could be wrong..

i would say that Willshire Motor Trimmers are the best, but also the most expensive. try giving Castle Trim a call (next to Castle Plaza, Edwardstown). they quoted my friend whole interior (seats, roof and door trims) $1.2K leather. that was on an Alfa. hope they help you out.

I'm pretty sure it's vinyl Chris...

Most car rear seats are vinyl. Cheap ass manufacturers... <_<

Plus, I armorall the back seat. I'm pretty sure that wouldnt be good for leather - You would have to use a leather protectant, not armorall...

Also, my old car had the same type of back seat, and the material looks exactly the same. And I KNOW that was vinyl in my old car... :dontknow:

Hi Guys n Gals,

just wondering if in more recent times anyone has come across a decent retimmer in Adelaide?

I have made a couple of enqiries and found someone who gives me confidence in their work - but OH MY GOODNESS - the prices are really out there!!! :o

I know Damo had good success with A-Tuc for his steering wheel, at a great price and quick turn around, but I'm looking for a recommendation to someone for seats and trim - a known quantity not just "I've heard......so 'n so..."

Sooo not gonna (can't) pay 5k+++ My baby deserves the best - do I have to keep saving for my next decade birthday???

Appreciate any genuine leads - thank you :notworthy:

Sonia

hey Sonia, not entirely sure if you ever got a chance to see my CRX? But i had the door panels, dash surround centre console, seats and some other little things retrimmed at an unreal price from Brian at Cool Trimming. Although i pulled out the interior panels myself to have them trimmed and drove them up there.

Depending on what you want done depends on the price, what exactly do you mean by seats and trim? do you mean the whole interior or just seats and some other small bits?

either way pop down there (workshop address is: Cool Trimming; Un 8/ 406 Main North Rd, Blair Athol, SA 5084) or give him a call on 83597220. Tell him that JJ who had the AVPCRX said to send you to him :)

He will discuss with you your wants and needs (vinyl or leather etc) and go over colors etc, show you some of his work.

There is another place called Corafano (Sp?) motor trimmers in Magill/Kentown Stepeney or whatever that have a fantastic reputation. A couple years back they quoted me 4K to re-do my factory leather interior, using a very high grade of leather, however I want it re-done with the factory appearance, might have to pay wilshires a visit next

Thanks Guys, I will give Cool Trimming a try - they sound...'cool' B) - I think Carofano will be well out of my range of affordability, based on the quote I recently received from one of the brothers (Claude).

So far I have had quotes ranging from $4k - $5.5k for 2x front seats and the rear seat (Killa - start saving NOW!).
Steering wheel, gear knob, door trims all extra - I mean if that's the price, then I need a second job(...anyone need a slightly broken & outta practise mechanic for a coupla hours a week? :D)

I have spoken with a guy at Jim's Trim in Salisbury, and was also hoping to see Aaron O'Hara in Gawler - does anyone have any feedback on either of these? (Please PM if there are any negatives about any of the suggested shops - I wouldn't like to start an on-line slagging fest).

Thanks again for your help, all suggestions / feedback appreciated :)
