Anyone in SA do a TT to single conversion? I've been keen to do it but I'd like to know if anyone has actually done it and taken it through Regency? I know if I did do it the local law enforcers will no doubt defect me.

That would be interesting to know as I've been playing with just such an idea myself for quite a while now.

Any ideas people?

A big ass single would stick out like a stiffy at a wedding so how about replacing the stock twins and throwing in another set of MUCH! larger twins. That way if you get pulled over and get asked to pop the hood you can just say..."those are my stock twins officer" ;) :D

You'll probably get lag obviously but 2 larger twins should power you up sufficiently although its probably going to cost a hell of a lot more to set up than a single would...i suspect.

(disclaimer: i got no clue what im on about, im only a newbie)

[sarcasm=on]
Yes, TWO BIG ASS SNAILS would be soooo much less obvious than a big single ;)
[/sarcasm=off]

You are right on the money about the cost of setting up big twins. You can get the same power whether it be a single or twin but why pay double for the same result?

can you do a low mount reasonable sized turbo or are they all high mount? just thinking you could put a big one low and cover it with shields or something.

i am in the process of building a new engine for my supra. t51rsplbb. motec. 1000ccc injectors. 6 inch thick intercooler. virtual works manifoil and the list goes on. the engine that we are buildin is not the engine from my car so i can still drive my car while the engine is being built. but there are still alot of development and parts so it would still be a while. also in terms of cost it's massive eg the more power the more money. hop it helps oh and in terms of regency there is no way in this world they will clear you unless you have an engineered certificate even then they still give you siht for it.
cheers.

resurrecting a 2yr old thread...

has any had any luck with upgrading the stock sequential twins to larger low mount (parallel) twins? anyone thought of twin low mount GT-RS or GT-SS or T517Z turbos?

no, i don't mean hi-flowing or rebuilding the stock twins with steel wheels, etc (ala Dazza's project) or high mount 2835's. i haven't had the time to wade through the national forum lately, so any pointers would be appreciated ;)
