Just to let everyone know there is a new specialist car audio shop with a 10 car installation bay opening in Adelaide under the name of Adelaide Pro Sound at 1252 South Road Clovelly Park.

We are hoping to have the shop up and running by the 2nd of February. We will be running specials throughout the month on installations as well as products.

The brands that we currently carry are as follows:

Crossfire
Digital designs
Image Dynamics
Tru Technology
Soundstream
Audio system
Infinity

I have yet to talk to some of the reps regarding the headunit brands but am planning to approach Alpine, Eclipse, Clarion, Kenwood, Panasonic and JVC. I will choose the best two headunit brands from the list if they are willing to give me an account.

Also we will be dealing with window tint as well as body kits, turbo timers, boost gauges, visual entertainment, satellite navigation, gsm dialer alarms and other accessories.

First months specials will be a black wired Australian standards approved alarm including standard installation (not including any central locking or hook ups) with battery back up siren and shock sensor for $269. Prices will vary from car to car.

I will be putting on a small opening BBQ for everyone once we are somewhat properly setup.

George

PS. Supra forums members will receive a discount if they mention this ad.

No guys i didnt work at Motoquipe :).

I am the brains behind Motoquipe :). Anyone who goes to Motoquipe and asks a difficult car audio question or what fits in a car generally the salespeople ring me to ask advice.

And yes i did James's UNCUVD Accent which won best Hyundai at Adelaide Autosalon.

I was also a Soundstream State Manager, and now i am expanding my horizons and instead of being the brains behind an operation, i might as well run and own my own operation.

I have also done a few Supras with a simple front splits, sub and amp combo which sounded AWESOME. So if anyone wants their car done can come to me for advice :).

Window tinting will be done at the shop and i can also organise an onsite tint, where the person doing it will come to your place and do it.

George

Ahhh unfortunately Pioneer is not that high on my list when it comes to car audio brands guys. The headunit brands i mentioned as an industry professional are the only brands which i am looking to stock as a car audio specialist. For a number of reasons and one is that Pioneer plays off on their name and the products are very expensive but offer very little performance for the money. This year their base model headunit doesnt even carry the mosfet chip and also its only 45Wx4 not 50Wx4. It sound to me like they are going backwards.

I fit Pioneer daily from my trade accounts and even though reliable its nothing to brag about.

If anybody wants to buy Pioneer i can supply it, but i wont be stocking it.

George

PS. Stoli has a 10 inch sub which will demolish any 2 Pioneer 12" subs in a Pioneer box. And its only running of a small 4 channel amp. 2 channels for the splits and 2 channels bridged for the sub.

I respect your opinion, but to some people, pioneer is fine to suit their needs.

Anyhoo - good luck with it all.

Actually, I have just had a thought (should have thought of this WAY earlier...).

Any chance you can answer this George?

Yes i can clarify that for you champ.

The Pioneer headunit only have one remote output for antenna and power amplifier. Unfortunately this is not the best due to the fact that a lot of people want their antenna to go down when they play a cd, this is the issue we had with stoli's which can be remedied by adding a simple on off switch on the antenna wire.

Now as to your question the best thing to do is just wire up the antenna wire and remote cable for the amplifier to the blue white wire coming out of your pioneer headunit. Simple just join the two there wont be any problem unless your running more than two amplifiers.

Kam not a problem mate come and see me when the store opens i am sure i will be able to help and if i cant ill point you in the right direction :).

if any of u guys wanna hear my setup on the cruise ill be glad to give u a listen.........................im sure youll be very impressed with the power that a soundstream 10 inch sub can put out...........and the speakers dont distort one bit even if i put the volume full blast...........which i never do..........

actually george we might need to install a switch for my antenna cos im only really evr listening to cds anyway........speak to ya soon

Just a quick heads up guys. We will be adding Treo Engineering and OZ Audio as part of our brand structure. Now if many dont know much about these brands please do some serious research as these are two of the elite brands which we will be offering at Adelaide Pro Sound.

Now for SA Supra members i would like to put together a package which will be very affordable at around $1500 installed thats including all equipment fitted into your vehicle with lifetime warranty on installation and manufacturers back up 12 months warranty should there be a product fault (which i seriously doubt it).

The new shape Supras we can do a package including CD/MP3 player, Front 6.5" splits, 4 channel amplifier and a 10" subwoofer in a box. I would like to personally mix and match from the two brands above but if anyone wants something included from the Soundstream range or Image dynamics or maybe upgrade to something better please come into out store and i am sure i can work a deal out.

Now firstly i would like to know how many people are interested. If i can get at least 5 packages then i can do some deals with the distributors to get to the price point i am after.

Please visit www.adelaideprosound.com.au for store information.

George
