That is a pretty rare size... Finding one could prove expensive (esp considering it is one only).
I disconnected mine... The sub box sits over it anyway...
I'd say you'd be better off doing something similar...

wish i had visited the forum more recently. didnt know about adelaide pro sounds deal
I getting an Alpine head unit with fold out 7" screen, Alpine type X splits, some type R rears, an Earthquake amp 4 channel and a 12 inch sub Type S? custom boxes for sub and seperate one for amp.
I getting work done by complete audio, apparently it supra and honda month down there. I rang up to talk about a deal and from serial numbers he was telling me what tonkins had put on offer was not a good deal. he said why have a sub that peaks higher than amp? get this one it will suit far better. I was impressed.
on friday he rang to tell me that he can change the amp for me for no charge. going from alpine amp to an earthquake one. higher wattage amp and drive speakers harder. yesterday when dropping car off he said i may give u a better sub too depending how numbers fall out?
it is quite an expensive system but i doing it once and hopefully never again.

i loved it soooo much till my car was stolen and lost everything! ill find and kill them 1 day.
i also made a custom parcel shelf and installed everything but the splits myself. i think George made my twin subbox.

And there is nothing more i hate than stores bagging other stores. It doesnt help the industry and it puts customers of car audio.
Unfortunately if the amp doesnt suit just tell the customer what you think would suit them better.
Let them have a listen to the stock even though the customer doesnt understand technical terms and specifications take the time to make the customer aware about them in plain english.
Customer service lacks seriously in Adelaide. Stores are to busy bagging each other to get sales.
When you say the sub peaks higher than the amp you mean the sub has a higher power handling than what the amplifier can provide?
There is nothing wrong with this it all comes down to how you tune your system. If you dont tune the system unfortunately thats when things go horribly wrong and products start to suffer.
As far as whether its a good deal well look at the retail prices on the product are you getting at least 10 percent off or more, WELL THEN ITS A DAMN GOOD DEAL.
There is no point in telling a customer you will upgrade their equipment FOR FREE. No business can survive on giving away free equipment. I would be asking a few more questions as to why this is happening. If it sound to good to be true IT IS.
