Started my aluminium airbox today using the template that was sent to me.

It really seems quite simple, and all I have to do is cut and bend the aluminium.

I will line the inside with heatproof wrapping - will post pics when I am finished.

Sounds good dude.

You will be finished before I. I have a little more prep work to go before I can start painting. As I will be in Melbourne on the weekend and I have a major assignment due + my final TAFE exam, I am too busy to worry about it.

The fibre glass option is definitely much more difficult and more expensive....

Will you show me yours if I show you mine...???

looking good guys, but for those who arn't the DIY type, this can be put into consideration!, it is specified for the TT but i guess if one was to buy it for an NA you could then custom fab the intake pipe to attach to the airbox.

it is the first item on the link!

here is a pic of it,

You wont need to do anything to it to make it fit - it will fit an NA.

$265 for that puppy - I'd prefer DIY...

They must be related to my Brother inlaw. I reckon he has enough gear in his 20 x 30 shed to fill a 30 x 60 easy. We all refer to him as THE GERMAN PACK-RAT  . I dont pay him out too much as he does most of my basic mechanical work. All I needed was another sister so she could have married a spray-painter (or better still one of the COOPER'S BOYS!!)

Cheers all Im out of here for the night
