So yet again the conveniently timed un-expectancy of rego has gotten the best of me and she's coming off the road for a week or so.
But i do have a large list of mods for the coming months though i'm pretty excited about :D
First of all i have a new lip coming over from the land of J. I forget the type it is (type A or something) the one with the brake ducts off of the later MA71's. Which will top off the looks department for me.
Also noticed my bonnet starting to lift, so i've picked up some bonnet pins for that.
Should hopefully have a bigger front mount and some aftermarket piping if funds permit within the next month.
Getting the front dent and the rear & front bumpers sprayed and beaten at the end of this month.
Also have a warlbro 255 fuel pump to chuck in and a few other little bits and pieces.

And hopefully by the middle of the year i'll have a nice single turbo upgrade which i'm keeping on the DL for now as i'm not sure where my funds will be at or if it will even go through, but hopefully it will.
So very excited for the coming months, once the body's done i'm happy with it's visual appeal, then it's all engine from there on!
And hopefully within the next month or two i'm going to be picking up some white work emotions with some very lovely offset to them. Good start to the year i reckon :friends: :friends:

Just a quick photo update.
Got my gauges fixed properly now and a new steerer put in. Despite the isotta horn button, it's acutally a nardi, that was the only horn button i had that would fit haha.
Also got some bonnet pins in as the hood has been bent slightly since the washers put under it to lift it at the rear were too big last time and the bonnet would bounce all over the place while driving haha so more of a safety thing than looks :)
That's all for now, hopefully got some new seats going in within the next week or two, so i'll keep posting :D

Just a quick teaser for you all ;)
Got the rear bumper sprayed, the right front fender done, the front bumper and a lip put on (HUGE thanks to Gordo!).
Looks much more like a car now, already scraped the lip on my driveway though haha luckily only gravel and nothing too hard!
Will be raising it a little bit to accommodate it's near daily usage while i can drive it haha :D
Really excited to finally get out on a cruise in a nice car, not the damn hyundai.
As you can see she needs a good clean and an emblem put on the nose, which i have sitting at home i just need to be bothered to take the nose-piece off and fit it hahah :friends:

They cut a bit out of the lip and did "whatever you do to join fibreglass back together" and then just mounted it :)
The whole lot cost just over $900, so i'm pretty stoked.
I reckon the lip you got would look great painted white with a bit of a tidy up, that's what i was going to do with it, but obviously in blue haha

Should have it done this week.
Didn't realise the yokes on the R154 and W58 were different so i had to get them swapped over and because the one piece is a hilux item it needs a hilux uni-joint to get the yoke onto it.
Will letcha know when it's back though if you're still interested!

I don't think so.
It's all way to confusing for me, you're more than welcome to try, but it's doing my head in with all the "this yoke doesn't match this tailshaft but then this yoke will match this uni-joint" etc. etc. haha

Just a real quick update, or more of a pain-in-ass update.
but for anyone who remembers me complaining of a strange rattle coming from my car on the last cruise i did some hunting and found it.
I was changing the front coilovers because the ones i had in there were nearly stuffed and it turns out one of my sway bar mounting brackets wiggled itself loose and was only hanging in with one bolt....and has possibly warped my sway bar out of shape.
The end link is nowhere near lining up with the subframe anymore and will only line up if i take the coilover out, but then alas, the coilover doesn't fit in!
Will hopefully get this sorted out before the dyno day, but here is a photo of what's left of my mounting bracket -.-
http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb352/harleyMKIII/20120319_123222.jpg
as you can see, it's a little out of shape....

Yeah already lock tight'd the f%#k out of the bolts haha.
I've got whiteline adjustable endlinks all round Gordo :)

Luckily i got the old man to help me out and with a jack and some man power we wriggled it all back into place and it's sitting fine, so luck was on my side and nothing was bent out of shape, just slightly skewed haha :whistling:
