I send John at Marvey tech an email and we are organising a time to get mine looked at. im optemistic and would love to crack the 140 mark. but i have nothing to go on so could be rubish. we will see.

just keep in mind people. dB is rated in a logarithmic scale. end of the day its a number. and 1dB might not look much but its quite a step. 5-10dB is a HUGE step. and the way they measure it in the car is related to pressure built up in the cabin.

too true mikey, too true, something i learnt in school (shock horror i know!) is that for every 10db, the relative noise will double.
So from 80db > 90db, is twice as loud as far as the human ear is concerned.

wow did not know this, cheers for the information. I have never really understood abou the db system.
Might not be such a bad thing, when I turn the stereo up and beyond regular listening its not so much the "loud ear sound" that goes up but the volume of air that is rushing past my head and out the door. makes all the hairs on my arms stand up and melts my eyes lol
