you certainly can...i just couldnt be bothered posting up the details before. this is a copy paste from my post on the supraforums.com.au

they complained about the following:

- too much play in lower control arm balljoints
- slight powersteering leak
- exhaust being 5mm below the 100mm minimum clearance
- too much play in the rear left wheel bearing

now, im quite annoyed at most of this, because we had 3/4 of these things checked before going through the inspection (the first three things), and all 3 were reported to be ok. the balljoints i actually had checked by 2 mechanics (both said they were fine), and the powersteering leak was only becuase the reserviour was overfilled. as for the exhaust, we checked that again today to find that it is actually 10mm higher than 100mm (not 5mm LOWER!). i guess they actually have a point with the wheel bearing as it is quite noisy now.

it has another appointment in exactly 1 week and these issues will be sorted by then, so i'll be up and running soon......hopefully

i suppose this all part and parcel of complying a car yourself. i didnt expect it to be easy, but it will all be worth it!

well i suppose they are trained up to work this way. they see japanese import on the appointment list and they prick their ears up. then they see Supra and they think...performance car. they prick their ears up even further.

my older brother has taken 2 toyota celsiors through without fail both times, and i can tell you, i was more thorough with my preperation than he was.

a lot of it is to do with which inspector you get on the day.
