I thought 3 spoke one's were non-airbag? Anyway, disconnect the battery first. The horn pad should just pull off but check for any screws first at the back of the steering wheel. Once the pad is off I'd imagine there would be a couple of wires that connect to the pad/airbag, disconnect those but make sure you take note of which wire connected to which terminal. Then there should only be one big nut in the center that you remove and the wheel will just slide off.
I've never taken off a airbag wheel from a supra before but that should be the basic guideline.

It may or may not slide off, it may require a little, or a lot of working. Hot tip: leave the big nut on the thread when you are levering off the wheel, this way you don't smash yourself in the face when it does finally let go.

Continuing from above -

There should be plastic/rubber cover plates on both sides of the steering wheel. You need to remove these covers with a flat blade screw driver or similar. Once the covers are removed, there are two Torx head bolts. Not sure if they are T30? (been a while since I removed one).

Remove these two torx head bolts and the airbag assembly can be removed from the steering wheel. There are yellow double looking connectors that will need disconnecting. Once the airbag has been removed, you simply undo the bolt holding the steering wheel to the steering column. This can be tight, real tight!

If its the same three spoke that appears in the IS200, calidna and late model supras then its got an airbag, also comes in tiptronic form and also a yummy carbon fibre one.
Not sure if there was an early three spoke design?

There was an early 3 spoke design, not sure if it does or doesn't have an airbag.

I second the yummy carbon fibre comment, I love mine.

This didn't work out too well due to a lack of torx bits. Tried with a flathead stanly screwdriver but it got mangled. Wish I could remember who borrowed my torx set.

Sorry I couldn't help you out.

When he said some guy out north had one he could borrow or buy I immediately assumed it was you. That's just plain weird.

Great to see members helping each other out. My car has passed inspections more than once this way. Hope everyone keeps it up.

Good work rabbit.

ps. now you have an excuse to go the late model carbon fibre wheel :)
