My supra is off the road at the moment, desperately trying to get it back on asap. I'll try and confirm hopefully within a week or so if I am still able to attend.
From what I can assume, as long as your car is roadworthy your able to enter? Also did you end up finding out about the helmets, or is it still optional?
Cheers,
Tim
thanks to Ice for providing another link to download the form from. not sure why my attachment doesn't work for some.
Tim - if your car is roadworthy, then you can enter. but actually, we wouldn't have it any other way - it's far to risky to have an unroadworthy vehicle out on the track at any time.
and helmets are not mandatory for this type of driver training event. they are required for the next step up (High Performance Driving course in November) trackday. however, you are more than welcome to use a helmet during this course.
cheers - Kim

Cheers for the link Ice.
Good news. The supra will be drivable by the end of this week, middle next week at the latest. The only thing that wasn't really roadworthy is that I don't have a front bumper. If I get time to tomorrow im hopefully going to put my order through which should arrive by June I would hope.
I'll go ahead and complete that form and have it paid by tomorrow arvo.
Thanks for your help Kim.
- Tim
Edit:
Supra needs some more work done to it which should be done next week. All I need is a set of wheels and a temporary front bumper. Ill wait till I get my car back next week before paying anything as I dont want to get my hopes up too soon.

no worries, you've got some time before the end of this month, but i will be opening the floodgates for the other clubs (Porsche Club of SA, WRX SA, etc) sometime next week so the remaining places will fill up VERY quickly.
my list is half full (12) as it stands now.

yes, it could be done for $200 per person if you got 20-24 cars, and yes, you could get a few ring ins from the other Toyota clubs, but even if we could get the required numbers, the other major issue is how the day would be run - a CAMS marshalled event would be the safest way to conduct things, but we're not CAMS affiliated at this point. now 2010 CAMS affiliation is $280 (<40 members) to $490 (41-100 members) per year - i don't know if all the club's paying members can justify spending that amount of Treasury money per year on what could be one or two trackdays per year.
I am not being a negative naysayer here, but in my opinion, I don't think that an SA Supra club trackday is possible yet.
However, something for people to think about is organising a trackday with one of the CAMS Affiliated toyota clubs (TCC or Classic Celica) - this is certainly something that could work... a job for the President methinks! ;)
With regard to Driver Training, i do believe that it is an important thing to do before going out on the track and should be done by everyone before doing any club level event / open trackday. I personally wouldn't be comfortable in going out on the track for a club open day with people who haven't had any experience on a circuit. Given the minimal interest here in doing driver training it is a concern that needs to be addressed before we stage an event as a club.

New oil
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Brake Pads
Brake Fluid
Brake Rotors (possibly, ones I have are half alright)
New Power Steering Fluid
Tyres are as good as they are gonna be, silly Bridgestone RE92, they are alright, but not the grippiest tyre out there...

2) My motor is still outta the car... :alcoholic:
3) I have an exam on the 22nd...
Sorry for the inconvience dude.
It will be a mad day like all the track days you have organised previously, its a pity nothings gone to plan. (Does it ever?)
I urge anyone that that hasn't done this Level 2A trackday before to get out there and do it. I learnt so much last year and it was great to boost around the track at the end of the day! Even if you have done it, you should do it again!
