Howdy all,

I'm a newby on this forum and being a local sa lad I thought this would be prime forum to ask a question from you all. Where is the best place to buy a body kit? Ones that fit well obviously, and recommendations to where are good quality places that fit/paint the bad boys.

Cheers
Marty

i have a vented fibreglass bonnet that i want to sell if your interested for $400

i bought all my parts from 2 websites:
www.carmate.com.au
www.jetspeed.com.au

can try local guys
www.vivagarage.com.au

as far as paint goes. depends where you live and how far you are willing to travel.
all type crash in parafield have done a bit of work on a few members cars. mine included.
some would go to MC doyles in edwardstown. another place that seems to be pumping out some decent show cars lately is hounslow crash repairs in lonsdale.

The general consensus of carmate is that they don't fit properly and are cheap. I'd probably stay away from those.

IMO the a80 looks just fine without a kit, most kits look like arse.

I got my full Do Luck kit from Performance Car Parts Australia.

http://www.pcpa.com.au/

Never ended up using it because by the time the panel beater ****ed around and said it didn't fit, I decided to go with something else that was going to be different.

The guy that I sold the kit to has since fitted it to his Supra and said it was a perfect fit (going by my test fitment I'd say It wouldn't be far off)

Depends what style kit you go for too as to how it will fit, most of the crappy veilside rip off moulds will have been thrashed by now and fitment would be an issue. Ive heard both good and bad things about carmate's gear.

I've heard that viva garage stuff can fit quite good. Best thing to do is go to a paint shop and see what body kits they can get in for you, because they'll know the reputation of the supplier and be able to show you what's available to you through them.
