The old man has decided for his bday he is going to take both of us to Melbourne to watch the F1 this year, so not knowing much about Melbourne where is the best place to get a seat on the track?
And any suggestions where to stay in that dirty dirty city? (Ice or Golli whats your advice seeming as you have both spent an unhealthy amount of time there)

It's called a TV, it automagicly allows you to see a F1 race, without ever having to leave Adelaide....

Or do what some do, and borrow a projector from work? (If they have one!)

Just do a bit of Google mapping mate. The tram service to the track is pretty good so find somewhere near the Tram lines. I imagine close accomodation would be gone already so be prepared to use the public transport rather than driving. The one thing they do very well in Melbourne are the Trams/ Light rail.

I hope this is more useful than stay at home and watch on TV :)

1. Cool idea until they send in the Navy to sink you :alcoholic:

since they stole the grand prix from us here in Adel - i dont show any support to it -

2. Actually we gave it away more than they took it from us. Friggen useless Premier

dam victorians

3. No arguement there. Only thing wrong with that state is its above sea level :polak:

P.s. - dont stay in St Kilda - freeeekville central

4. St Kilda is certainly full of Freaks and drugged up wankers. My wife had rellies living in the area so got to see some "" Interesting sites  "" when we visited them. For a very wealthy area it certainly has attracted a lot of wackos

I have stayed in St Kilda once with golli in a hostel, not an experience I care to repeat! although one could say golli was worse than the locals ;)

not going to support the vics or their faltering economy, going to see the cars and racing action!

Interesting idea on the lake, not sure what the view would be like from a dinghy :P
