Entries for the 2010 Domestic VS Import dyno day are now open!
http://www.toyotacar...vents/domvsimp/
This is a Domestic vs. Import dyno competition.
We have limited entries to 48; 24 Domestic and 24 Imports - then using the top 20 scores from each side to decide the winner.
Big V8 Holdens, XR6 Turbo Fords vs. the masters of boost; Toyota Supras, Nissan Skylines and Mazda’s best rotaries.
We will be only accepting the top 20 entries from each side and I'm sure it'll be worth watching as some of the highest powered cars from both sides compete for overall honors as they all try to prove the age old question; who is king?
The cost of the event is $30, this is to cover the dyno; the event is not for profit. (We are hosting it because it's cool, no other reason)
Please apply at; (even if you *think* you dont make enough power, we will let you know if do; no cost until accepted)
This event is also one of the first events to be held at the new Boostworx workshop, so check the address before heading down there!

Cars under 100kw need not enter.

Chau you'll be surprised with your power.
Those that can attend to either put the car or to watch, it's a pretty good day.
Last event was good however the talk up from the Turbo Ford boys, they didn't want to play after hearing what the black beast put down :D

We're about half full (both sides) but we have a very high standard.
Please apply; even if you don't make 10 zillion kw. There is no cost if your entry does not make the cut, and $30 is a cheap dyno!
Not long now, just over 1 Month to go...
(Oh, and ToyoShow entries will be mailed next week, but thats for another thread...)

There will now be a cruise after the event also!
We've got a heap of spots still up for grabs (no min power required at the moment, and all entries will be accepted unless it's full)
Rough estimates for total power;
Domestics - 3100wkw
Imports - 2650wkw
And 5 entries listing more than 350wkw... should be good fun!

Sorry everyone, but this event needs to be postponed.
The dyno at Boostworx has an issue that will not be repaired in time.
The dyno will be moved back 2 weeks to the 13th of Feb 2010.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.
On a better note, it does give people more time to prepare and enter. We still have spots available, so please consider entering!
Thanks guys, and sorry!

To be honest, there are very few Supras in the dyno day anyway. 3 Toyotas in the field of 25 cars. (9x Holdens, 7x Nissans, 4x Fords, 3x Toyotas and 2x Mazdas to be exact)
And while it's not ideal, it's as good as I can do with what I have.
Any further away and people will forget or pull out.
It wasn't planned this way!
