You may need to get creative with routing the lines though, I run them through the factory openeing for the stock air box inlet going by memory, its been so long that its been apart details get a little hazy

Spent the day cleaning the engine bay. Need to touch up a few places, but that won't be much hassle as I need to get paint to respray my front bar and nose cone. I'll also need to do something aboUt the rust under the battery.

After a 16 day holiday in the RAH whoring my body out to drugs for money, I've been making some sweet progress!
During the week, I got the bottom end all plastigauged up and yesterday I gapped the rings.
After a nice sleep in today, I did the final clean of everything and assembled the rotating assembly.
I also fit the oil squirters with the new valves, put the oil union bolt on and fitted the permacool remote adaptor. Put in the welch plugs too. Just need to put the rear one in and source a front one from Toyota (it's more of a plate then a plug)
Now it's a matter of getting all my parts in from toyota and the US and I'll be able to finish off the motor and drop it back in. But until then I'm gonna touch up the engine bay and make up an airbox for it.
It's getting to the pointy end now... I can hear the sweet sweet exhaust note already! lol

Pity my engine bay's not as clean as yours, mine's such a pain to clean up!
Definitely want to see this running when it's back together

Finally got the last of the parts 2 weeks ago, and after a hecktic 4 days of having to disassemble the motor again and reassmble it, Dad and I left the garage tonight with the motor looking like this...

The reason for the disassemble was due to the fact that on monday we found the oil pump driveshaft wouldn't go into place. This was due to the new bearings having too small an inside diameter. We had to strip the motor right down for the bearing to be scraped to the correct size.
Over the next week I'll hopefully get the rest of the parts attached to the motor.

It's in and bolted up!
Tomorrow I'll take the tailshaft out and replace the rear seal in the gearbox, then hpoefully fill the gearbox back up with oil (its a matter of finding the right oil tomorrow...)
Then its a matter of putting everything back where it belongs and connecting it all up!
Plan is to start it up by this time next week, Want to run in the first 20 km's next Thursday.

The motor ran really smooth and I haven't even set the timing yet, so I'm very pleased about that, however there are a few small issues.
Have a slight water leak from water line between the Throttle body and the Bypass line, There is a very small fuel leak between the FPR and the Fuel rail, and got some smoke from the exhaust side of the motor, which I'm guessing is a gasket.
I'm dead as, so its bed time for me, Gonna get out there in the morning and try and sort everything out, set the timing and do a compression test to see what I'm getting.
Hopefully take it for a drive tomorrow evening and start the running in process!

Extremely happy with how the car is running, with the only hiccup being that the water temp and fuel gauge stopped working half way though the drive.
All in All, this was what was done to the car while it was off the road:
- Complete engine rebuild with Greddy MHG and ARP Studs
- Shimmed oil pump
- ARZ oil feed line
- New oil squirter valves
- Filter relocation kit with full flow thermostat controlled oil cooler
- New oil pressure sender
- Injectors cleaned & flow checked
- New timing belt idler pulley & spring
- Gates racing timing belt
- New factory harmonic balancer
- New auxillary belts
- Radiator recondition
- All new water hoses excluding to and from radiator
- Starter motor rebuild with new Toyota genuine contacts
- New spark plugs and leads
- New CPS cover
- ARP flywheel bolts
- ARP pressure plate bolts
- New input and output shaft gearbox seals
- New speedo gear seal and o-ring
- Short shifter mod
So this is the rebuild part of this build compelte. Hopefully I won't have to pull the motor out again until I decided to put a few more goodies in there, which won't be till well after I finish Uni...!
Over tomorrow and Friday, I need to sort out the astehtics of the car, as it is in need of a good wash and some TLC before AutoSalon.
Next week I'll sort out the electics issue with the gauges, then tackle the E-Fan install.

Yesterday I took the car to Fours 'n More (Club Sponser) and Brenton chucked it on the Dyno and checked AFR's and power, as well as taking the motor through the entire rev range. The car is making 160rwkw at 4,500rmp at 8psi boost. Before the rebuild it was making 175rwkw on 12psi. AFR's are at 1:10, so its running quite rich, but idle mixture is bang on 14.6.
The motor has currently done 650km, and I'll do another 1000km before turning the boost back up to 12psi.
This week I'm going to clean up the e-fans and wire it all up, however I'm gonna hold off installing the fan's themselfs until I get a real water temperature gauge. I'm also going to take off the SSQV and install a replacement I got off JJ, as I want something not as eye catching.
Yes, I have forgotten to add pictures, but I'll get some tomorrow, I promise!!
