Guys, i have my car back from fours n more and am over the moon with the quality, neatness, price and efficiency that the job demanded.

i havent got pics just yet. (soon) the 1UZ engine is insane with a manual behind it. Brenton and the boys got it working perfectly.

removed engine and gearbox (NA 2J and W58), painted engine bay satin black, fitted 1uzfe from a soarer and R154 box from a jzx110. custom flywheel and clutch. custom tail shaft, twin thermo fan setup, alloy radiator, mounted 2 odyssey batteries in the boot. its just so neat and tidy. everyone that has seen it says it looks completely stock like its meant to be there...the sign of a quality conversion. everything works as it should.

the handling is awesome now. will take some getting used to. steering so light and nimble. did one run up windy point and need to learn the gearing a bit better before going through the hills.

thanks again for the awesome work brenton. will be back for sure.
i was impressed from day one over the phone with such a wealth of knowledge you have...why go anywhere else.

pics will be up soon.

that doesnt look stock. purely because they would have brought the engine forward to hide that gap

what kind of weight difference have you got? i know the 3UZ is only a few pounds heavier than a 2JZ-GE so is the 1UZ even lighter?

but seriously looks great!

Mikey... If you ever want to get rid of your AFM, let me know! I'm sure it wouldn't mind living with my engine...

Looks awesome, can't wait to see it in real life.

Most likely they would've had the radiator supports at the front moved back. But that is a hell of a lot of room up front. Getting close to a front mid layout. With the batteries in the back I reckon the weight balance on this would be pretty good.

The 1UZ is significantly lighter than a 2jz-gte, but the 3UZ I think is alloy block? 1uz is iron so is probably heavier. I'm no sure it'd be much lighter than a 2jz-ge if at all.

1uz is the all alloy engine. 3UZ is the heavy option.

isn't the 2UZ 4.7L cast iron the heavy one? not as much power as a 1UZ but more torque which comes a lot lower down as well. Which explains why its in dads 4wd :P

sorry to awaken an old thread but do you know if brenton ran into any problems fitting the 1uz? Things like engine mounts and stuff. any custom work needed? and in the end how much did the labour cost you?
