They wouldn't happen to still have a mould of it to re-create another one by any chance? Haven't had any luck, and im not a huge fan of the Top Secret style one.

In other news, my sexy Series 2 tail lights turned up today, did a Dummy fit to take a quick photo

Need ATLEAST a 30mm spacer to get them clearing decently, and im not even prepared to run a 5mm slip on, so unless I can find a pair of GT-AV's in the right offset, time for new wheels :(

is that rotor on the correct side? usually the slots point backwards rotation wise from the centre, not forward. i don't know if it makes a difference or not but it just doesn't look right.

Pretty sure it affects the rotors ability to vent gas/cool. Its easy to mix-up when doing them. . . When fitting my new rotors, I got all caught up in wanting to see them on, that I had one on and was refitting the calliper prior to noticing that it was the wrong one - Doh!. . . Drivers side=R Passengers=L usually. . .

were they labeled left/right or driver/passenger? might be US spec rotors.

labelled left / right, and looking at pics of other slotted rotors on cars, it seems right.

Well, cant argue with your pics (unless half the world has theirs backwards. . . lol ). It must not have an effect of the cooling/venting. . . Still looks different. . . Love your car though. Were your original rotors the same way?

To JT - Left and right are from the drivers perspective as far as Im aware, so it shouldn't make a difference if they are LHD spec (if thats what you were getting at)

Well it seems that the slot direction doesn't matter. Look at those links, they sum up what most things Im reading are saying. Its not the external slots that matter, rather the internal vanes between the inner and outer faces. If they are marked L or R then its likely that the vanes are curved (directional) for extra cooling and should be installed to aid them, regardless of the direction of the slots. . .

Yeah I was just thinking that if they were USDM ones and they only said Driver and Passanger but not left or right then there could be some confusion,

I appreciate ur concern but I know that prior to dropping his car off he was told his car wouldn't be started till early next year (2010) as the guy in question had other cars before his and mine would also be before his so, sorry JJ but thats why there was no work on your car in 10 weeks. I don't agree with him charging you what you told me.Consider the amount of work he didn't do.

Anyways...mine is gettin painted next week so end of Jan. Maybe end of Feb by the time I finish some other stuff also.

well u cant forget the 12 hours of dust acquired. cant believe he had the cops come down too.

Dean if you read this get your money back and go elsewhere. its been far too long. if they cant do a car in 2 months they are pathetic. i paid 6k got a kit fitted and car painted from silver to purple, it took 2 months. that was with other insurance jobs putting my car off for a week or a few days here and there. it wasn't widebody but if its ready for paint. it should be out in a week maybe 2 max...

with JJ's car and Deans car take the story to Today Tonight. there was a few people who complained about ASV in lonsdale about a year ago on TT and one of them scored a free paint job by MC doyles.

best of luck sorting out your issues guys

he told me he'd have it done by february, cos i had cash waiting. Its not so much the fact he didnt do any work on it, its the fact that it took him 5...6 weeks to tell me (after i had to call him) for him to say he couldnt use the gear, and when i got it back it was chipped and cracked, I fiddled with the gear for about 30 seconds and had the guards sitting pretty decent, not perfect, but a panel beater should be able to deal with a few mm of glassing.

his stories chopped and changed, and i was overcharged something chronic. the things he told CA were just bullshit too. Not worth taking the scum to court, would cost too much, and he's clearly done it before.

in the letter it stated that i didn't talk to him about it, pretty hard when he tells you to talk to lawyers, closes the door in your face and calls the cops.

either way, id never recommend him to anyone in future.

in other news, my new wheels should be here next week, sorry Killa, you won't be the only one going 20" strong anymore ;)

According to Brembo, the outer edge of the slot must come into contact with the pad first. Chances are people have them on backwards unless the cooling vanes are unidirectional, then it wouldn’t matter. It is a common misconception that the slots point forwards.

I trust Brembo over other inferior brands

Actually as the amount you would be fighting over is under $6k it would be a matter for the civil minor claims section which has no lawyers, to lodge a claim is $116, which would be recoverable if you won. Can't hurt to try.

Ok... so the solution to wheels not clearing... buy new ones :)

Will look a lot better once the new suspension gear goes in, but will be staying that height until kit and paint is completed :)
