(this is a work in progress thread, so bare with me while i get all the details up)

Ok well here goes nothing!

I bought the car, then not even a month later the engine let go, 1 guess what it was :P So the engine got rebuilt and during the rebuild just about everything got redone. Heres a few of the major bits n pieces.

Decked block
New Shaved head
100thou oversized pistons
Cometic 2mm head gasket
ARP headstuds + nuts
Balanced crank
New rods
New cams/values/runners/springs
Custom made engine mounts

All work done by the marvellous Brenton at Fours N More (club sponsor)

Then recently, the turbo decided to let go. So now shes running a Hi-Flowed CT26, with a T04B Compressor wheel, courtesy of Bill at ATS. Work included:

New shaft
New bearings
New seals
New Compressor wheel
Compressor housing machining
Exhaust Turbine machining
General Clean and paint to make her look nice

Old turbo:

New Turbo:

And a nice side by side, showing the difference between the old and new:

Just some installation pics from late at night when i was motivated enough to put it on:

And now for the engine that its bolted onto!

Freshly decked and honed block

With all the necessities bolted onto the front

Mmm Over sized

Shiny new head

And it all put together in the car (Minus the Strut Brace, which has since been removed)

So yeah, thats my power plant.

Heres some links to a few piccies of the car (they are fairly large so 56k beware)

And one with my fat finger in the way:

Last time it was Dyno'd, she pulled 152rwkw with a smokey turbo (prior to the hi flow going on)

Have added a few bits to the interior, like a steering wheel, hear knob and boot, handbrake and boot:

The dodgy looking checker plate floor mates are LONG gone thankfully and replaced by some nice plain black ones that look ten times better!

And just incase you were wondering:

Yes, i have a speedo that goes up to 280 km/h

So there we go, thats a pretty simple run down of my car at the moment. She needs a bit of TLC after the engine revamp as thats shown that a few other bits n pieces arent quite right.

Cheers,

IcE

Very nice Iceman! How much that eat at your wallet if you don't mind me asking?
Looks great though, and i say those floor mats you mentioned should be taken off the market and all remaining ones burnt! :claps:

Just to totally bring up an ancient thread.

Have gotten off my slack ass and again, sorted out some issues which means i have gotten her running once more :D

As youd expect form a car that has been sitting for so long, theres a bit of noise up front from the injectors and lifters etc as they are prolly gummed up quite a bit but also, there is now a 3" dump ont he back of the turbo thanks to Harley. Alas, due to this, the cat i was running no longer mounts to both dump and (cat back) exhaust so its venting straight at the dump pipe at present, hence the incredibly lumpy sound at the back of the car.

Needless to say, hearing the turbo wind up with out any muffling on it at all is quite a pleasant sound, but then the sound of it winding down after giving it enough throttle, is well, marvelous :D
