 I know I'm just stiring mate, couldn't help myself. :) Like I said you put a lot of effort into your car's and you should be proud of what you are acheving :friends:

i know mate :P
cheers, i am although i wish i was acheving more but i think we are all
like that.
as soon as i go 3rd year i get a bit more cash to throw at the celicas
(not that i dont throw almost all of it at them already) :)

oh, and after heaps of thinking, once the yellow celica has the 1ggte wired
up and suspension done up for the track and the red celica is finished.
im going to look in to making a Supra Coupe. going to talk to my boss about
it soon and see if i can get some time on the globaljig

you need to change that to something like
a beams 3sge :D... that would be nice.. mmm

next year will be easy, just going to weld the diff, chuck in some
stiffer springs and better shocks for starters, and a mate of
mine is coming down to wire up the engine for cheap so should be
good. oh and will have 5stud MX83 front struts with BA Slotted rotors and
R33 4 piston calipers sometime next year :D
Would make a seperate thread for that one as its closer to a supra as
this one is due to the supra engine but i cbf :P

on a GTS Coupe Rear.

im guessing you will do most of the work yourself hybrid so the cost wont be extraordinarily high?

that would be awesome!

i have the same problem, the work i can do myself. obviously i would have
to pay my boss to use the bench because it would stop us from doing anything
to other customers cars while its on the bench. besides that all i really
would have to pay for would be a Supra (would find a crappy one) and
a celica coupe.. and i guess an engineers cert.
also need to swap the rear 1/4 panels (lower
half anyway) from the MA61 to the celica
so i can use the flares, peice of piss though

wont be getting in to a project like this for atleast 2 years but i will
do it.

a little bit better lol.
thats gonna confuse a lot of people.

unfortunately not, its just a 7mge that i was going to put in this car.
but wanted to go 4agze, but considering i have a 7mge and 1ggte sitting
here already, its looking more and more tempting to put in to the celica.

What are the conditions of the 1G-GTE's? Would you be willing to part with one? If so, how much? Would there be much modifying to do to get the 1G in the RA65?

well atm its for the track car as a spare because i know im going to kill
the other one.

well yeah there is a fair amount of modding to get it in there.
you need to modify the engine mounts, the sump, you need a MA61 fuel pump
atleast, MA61 Fuel lines, GA70 or similar bellhousing, cressida accelerator
cable, SA63 clutch hard line/soft line and slave, lots of wiring and a
lot of other stuff too.

so i take it your keeping the RA65 now?

$500 for a celica with smashed rear 1/4 panel, no running engine needing a new head and defected is
HEAPS. im surprised you even got offered more than $200 for it.. really.
these arent worth that much running, non-defected and straight.
