1.March you say. Is this going to be one of the beginner courses again, or one of the advanced days (where you need to have done a beginner course to have qualified)

2.Reaper?! What is this about an Evo? You traitorous bastard! Does this mean that after all these years of coveting that black beast of yours, i can finally get to take it off your hands?

1. indeed, must do the same.

2. +1

Well done to everyone great day, thanks Kim for organising it. :thanku:

Personally I was aiming for a 1:29 or a 1:28 as I had seen Andy "yiros" had got a best of 1:29.84 (fastest N/A as per his sig).
I just looked up that track day and saw that he did that on semi slicks so I am even more impressed that I did the 1:28 on street tyres!

All of the pics I took on my iphone failed??? So the only ones are a few from my hand held digital. Here they are:

A 1:28 is a fantastic time, well done. Was it a flat 1:28 as that is in slow TT territory? :notworthy: My sig now updated.

The semis I was running weren’t that great as they were made in 2003 and very hard. We kept getting wheel spin out of the corners (stupid open diff) and talking to Dean at the Tap Inn last Tuesday he said a LSD a worth quite a bit of time. David Cuff could only manage a 1:30 so we know that my car couldn’t go any faster with 120rwkw, small brakes and Open diff.

You still running an Auto, R154 or V160?

No doubt those massive brakes helped ;) What are they 4 pot Brembos or AP?

With a bit of luck next time round I will be pushing the close tp the 1:23's with some better brakes and newer tyres and 100 more rwkw.

I think his brakes are StopTech?

If I can do low 1:23s you should be able to do way better than that(same as Kim, if he had a 100% car) :P

they look like StopTech brakes from his photos.

and i think Andy will have way more than 100rwkw over his previous 120rwkw NA!

it's quite depressing not have a 100% functioning car - i think i will be out for a bit while i decide what to do next :( maybe i'll beef up my Subaru daily (STi) for the March trackday...

I think it was 1:28.09

The factory Torsen diff can still spin a single wheel mid (and out of) corner(s) and it did on me many times.
A clutch style lsd avoids this (the torque multipling 0x0=0) and much better for the track.
I think that I will get an ATS/Carbotic centre for the 6 speed diff at some point after the conversions finished.

I was running the factory auto, bog stock engine and n/a sway bars on Toyota Bilstein (yellow) coilover conversion.

The brakes are as mentioned StopTech's and are fantastic.
I bedded in the new pads on the way to the track and early in the day I was taking it easy on them.
I was (also Kim said he was too) braking hard then pulling up well before the corner and having to re-accelerate or coast up to the corner in the first few laps.

Can't wait till I can get out with the V8, 6 speed conversion finished!
