In recognition of the massive traffic jam and subsequently long drive home after the last track day i'm just putting the idea out that after this 2B day we all go have dinner somewhere like the Mallala pub? would give a bit of time for the traffic to die down if we finish at a similar time to the last event and would give us a chance to have a "I was the fastest" debate in the appropriate setting! :P

Quote

looks like we're meeting up at the Mawson Lakes Hotel for a drink and a schnittie after the trackday course next Monday (Nov 23) so those who couldn't make this track event are welcome to catch up with us after it for a pint

see you at the pub from 5pm

traditionally we have gone to The Tap Inn (Kent Town) after the trackday, but yours is a good suggestion.

afternoon traffic isn't too bad until you get to the Grand Junction or Regency Road intersections (i happened to do the run from Mallala to town on Thursday) so perhaps we can look at a pub along the way that is not too far for the northerners? Mawson Lakes also springs to mind.

since we don't have the Nov23 trackday thread anymore, who is actually going on this trackday? i need to compile a list of those who have sent in their enrolment forms and paid the full amount by next week.

Unfortunately not.

Normally I'd be up for a meal at a pub afterwards(Kim and I went to the Tap Inn after the track day in Nov last year), but I'm flying out to Sydney the next day so I'll probably have to pass. And yes, I'm definately all paid up, almost all ready as well. SLD goes in tomorrow and should hopefully get my 320kph speedo during the week. Looking forward to it :)

spectators - no, as they're not covered by public liability insurance (in case someone falls off the grandstand, slips in the toilet, gets run over in pit lane)

Mercury = paid
JTmiller = paid
ma61turbo = paid
Reaper = pending
yiros = maybe
darren = possibly

so who is going to the pub after the day at Mallala? i need numbers as we're going to book a table or two for the group.

people who aren't going to the track are welcome to meet up with us at the pub for a beer and a chat about the day/cars.

Very disappointed I won’t be ready for this track day. Car just isn’t ready – however is driving beautifully at the moment (only criticism is bad fuel economy – which will fixed with the installation of a new oxygen sensor).

Count me in for the next one. Might even have bigger brakes on by then?

Not sure if I can make the pub meet at Mawson Lakes. Will keep you posted!

Unfortunately I can't make it, got a plane to catch first thing the next morning so I need to get home and get organised for that. :(
