Hi guys and girls!

Well after a short holiday, the forums are now back up and running.

As you may have noticed, we are missing a fair chunk of data. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, this was unavoidable and we have had to revert to a backup that is exactly 12 months old.

Everything that has been put on the forums inside the last year, is now missing in cyber space. So, what this means, is that any user accounts, threads, posts, images, attachments ANYTHING is now gone and we wont be getting it back.

So please take the time to re register any accounts and start up any threads that you feel will be needed in the near future.

If you have any questions, please let me know, but be warned, im not going into details ;)

Cheers,

IcE and Taliesin

Please be advised:

During the next two weeks (primarily when i have time), the forums will be reshuffled (AGAIN!), user permissions will change (AGAIN!) and lots of other little things!

So please bare with us while we get every thing back to normal.

Cheers,

IcE

This is more of a missing feature than an issue. When clicking one of the "latest posts" on the portal, the link takes you to the first page of that thread instead of the most recent posts.

Happens in IE7 . . . All the threads I open. . . Not specific to a person, first two or three posts are fine, then the next 2-3 are literally a pay and a half long with no writing then usually the last post or two are back to normal. . . I think Darren was having the same trouble, I om'd ICE the other day.

long posts (usually the first post of a thread) occurred in IE6 (work PC, WinXP) and IE7 (home PC, Vista) but doesn't happen in Chrome on either platform. luckily i also managed to slip Chrome onto the work computer so i'm happier now as browsing is much faster than ever before.

the new IPB version is faster too (noticeable even on IE7)

Im running IE8 at home and work and same issue exists with some posts being huge and others normal. Very odd.The early original posts are fine, some done a day or two later are huge, then most ( not all ) of the recent ones seem to work  Good luck sorting this one Ice :)

This should hopefully be fixed, can people please confirm?

Doubtful that it will change any time soon, the old layout was custom built and to do another one of those would take a lot of time and effort the admin team probably doesn't want to do after the massive effort they did getting us back this far :)

maybe in a few months it might get looked at but i think a lot of people are liking this new theme.
