Probably easier to get the chaser and leave it as it is, and go for the big power set up from the 2J in the A70, purely because if you have the capabilities to make bigger power from the 2J and it's just chilling in the Chaser, you'll be more inclined to go with that and end up with a 400kw family car and a stock 1J in a track car that will just get left lying in the shed unloved haha.

came home from a the hills yesterday with a thudding noise from the back end -

when i turn a corner the thud stops then once back ina straight line it thuds as you speed up and slow down...

is this the sign of the diff finally giving way - and therefore i shoudlnt drive it much incase it goes....

( i had a vb commo once - and the diff blew as i driving 40kms - and locked up in the middle of the road )

i only just found out mine had it standard. didnt realize that they called it speed actuator from standard on the unit itself in the engine bay. lol felt kinda stupid. anyway bought a 89+ cruise steering wheel. looks great and the thumb controls. plugged it in and works a treat. lol. any who after all my story. i only found out because someone had an add on ebay for a complete factory plug and play setup. so it may still be up. not 100% sure. if you want after market try mobiletek.
http://www.mobiletek...ge=cruise-speed
we use them at work and they are a great mob for accessories

brake lights stoped working - not fuse or globes - so ill have to check the button at top.......

also the handbrake light now stays on .......

and the other day the automatic window upper thing - starts to stick - and keeps on pushing up etc.....

joys of a 1987 car :)

May be the electrolytic caps in the ECU leaking becuase they are old. Pull the ECU out and pull it apart, have a look under all the caps for any corrosion or burning.

looks like its not the switch thats not working - more so that the wire has been broken, burn out some where along the line....

so its getting looked at today -

should hopefully be all ready for the cruise coming up

( might even chuck the semi slicks on for one day ) :)

do you mean the box next to the right tail light just to the left hand bottom side of it. if so its a tail light checker. they always get killed by water from leaking tail lights or boot seals. im on my four but its gunna last now the light is sealed :) they check to tell weather the lights blown and everyone i had the ciruits where destroyed. if this is the case i think harley may have a spare.
