Hey guys,

We are hosting another dyno day, this time with a twist;

This is a Domestic vs Import dyno competition.
We have limited entries to 40; 20 Domestic and 20 Imports.
Big V8 Holdens, XR6 Turbo Fords vs the masters of boost; Toyota Supras, Nissan Skylines and Mazdas best rotars.

We will be only accepting the top 20 entries from each side and I'm sure it'll be worth watching as some of the highest powered cars from both sides compete for overall honors as they all try to proove the age old question; who is king?

The cost of the event is $30, this is to cover the dyno; the event is not for profit. (We are hosting it cause it'll be cool, no other reason :D)

Please apply at; (even if you *think* you dont make enough power, we will let you know if do)http://toyotacarclub...vents/domvsimp/

Sounds good, could be interested in this.

Is there any stipulation that these cars need to be street driven?

OR is the place gonna fill up with race cars?

What is the benchmark entry power level you are expecting right off the bat ? eg. 350+?

Cheers mate, looks good.

What sort of awards / categories will there be on the day also?

Cya,
GEE :D

a power range expected would be a good thing, im expecting to be up around the 330rwkw mark but this may be on the lower scale, so I need not apply if thats the case.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Any unregistered car is allowed to enter. There are no prizes as the event is running at $0 profit margin. I'd imagine figures of 250-300+ would be safe and certainly worth applying atm. I've modified the form and it will now respond to confirm that we have recieved the form (thanks for pointing that out).

In terms of the form failing, if it doesnt work for you please email me:
Your full name
Your address
Your mobile number
Your car (Year, make, model)
Expected power figure

Closer to the date I'll be sorting through, sorting and getting deposits for those that will run. Since the event went 'live' today, there are 39 spots available and min power of 0kw required.

Please apply if your car makes over 150kw at the wheels - it would be nice to get the 'benchmark figure' sorted sooner rather than later.

Thanks again !!

I have not. The form requires a email client set up, and might cause some dramas... I'll try fix that... but anyhow!

Please email me (dynoday@turbo-a.net):
Your full name
Your address
Your mobile number
Your car (Year, make, model)
Expected power figure

There is only one way to find out who is king :) and a dyno certainly wont answer the age old question unless we do the following in my eyes.

A dyno comp - for DYNO QUEENS ONLY
A drag comp - strip times (for drivers with skill) no point in having power if you cant put it down on the drag strip.
A track event - I know for a fact the Supra will destroy all Bogan mobiles unless they are a Clipsal 500 material and even then ill give em a go :).

So in these three events you will find your answer as who the king will be :).

A car is not to sit in and spin wheels only, its to be driven also. As much as some certain SA Supra members like to sit in their cars once a year im sure they will appreciate a little driving to tarnish their pristine paint work :).

My opinion but good luck to you all :).

Couldnt agree more.

However for this event, it's about engine power.

Given ur mods lately you've got nothing to fear George!

If I go will you go?

Supra's UNITE!!

Between us we can stitch probably 2x hi flos, and maybe 4-5 singles for this just from SAS. That'll help the cause.

GEE :D

Dom is not making 1500 hp, and he never will be.

The guy is a mate of mine but he inflates his figures same as his inflated his ego.

He hasnt hit 400kw yet, he is in Reapers territory. I however am above that currently not saying any numbers as i have something very special design wise that we are doing currently.

Gav will see how it goes, i might make an appearance. Will know closer to November if im in. But i will most likely say YES this time around.

No need, everything is as new condition. Engine has just over 50000 k on it still a baby.

When we pulled off the turbos they looked like they hadnt been on an engine the propellers were excellent.

The 4094 is a hybrid yes but it also has the latest split pulse technology its not the old 4094. With the 6 boost merge collector and equal length runners should see spool roughly the same as a T04Z and still make around 700-800hp with supporting mods.
