Hey,

we have this Ga70 offered to us to purchased cheapish but not sure now if its such a good deal..

the car had been in accident previously - and the people before did a fix on the car - but the hit was in the back end above the left hand wheel -

and also under the passengers door -

they left the passenger door dent as is , and they bogged the other dent over and painted - ( look in photos )

now when you look in line from the back of the car - the right side 18 inch rims sticks out from the guard - while the crashed side is even

with the bog - this could make it look worse, as the bogged guard is flat - but i just wonder if the diff is out etc -

theres a bog spot on the roof about 15cm in diamater - rust maybe ?
also a little dent under the handle of drivers door. ( very tiny )

apart from that few scratches which easily fixed -

Now we get to the running side of things -

So the car is a 1ggte 2 litre straight six twin turbo, ( 100,000 kms ) 5 speed manual box , new lsd diff
( aparently ), the motor when starts makes a whine - which is the starter motor - and stops about 10 seconds after start -

the diff makes no noise - no creaks in the suspension - both turbos couldnt see any oil leaks - giving the car some shit -

it doesnt puff any smoke on start up - and only saw a little puff around 4800 -

3 inch exhaust with box - looks like from only cat back -

big blow off valve and rampod filter only extra from stock motor -

car was defected for blow off valve - tyre sticking out from guards - bald tyre and a for a piller guage setup.

so the diff is worry if not straight - blow off valve can be easily removed -

the guy is throwing in shout loads of parts -

from looking in the boot there is - a ga70 diff

about x5 front indicators -

ga70 1987 lights ( single ones not running through )

leads - intake for motor - piping

fuel pumps and other little extras -

the rims are 18inch 265 on the back etc - no real brand name -

IN the interior from first look it looks good - but as you look in there bits of plastic covers missing - the barrel has no cover - but the actual carpet etc isnt bad -

has a nice momo wheel and boss kit - loosk brand new -

also i noticed that both doors dont lock with a key - supra has central locking but with out alarm cant make it work -

so the question is i guess - it has alot of problems - from when we looked first inside a garage - we could barley move around car -

now looking at the car in the flesh - im not sure -

is it worth buying and stripping for parts - how much would i get roughly if took apart - sold motor seats - ?

lights and steering wheel could go on my car - :)

then next how much could i fix all these problems for and either keep as a second supra ( daily ) ?


or do it up and sell it off straight away and try get profit ?

Ok, what are you getting at here? it almost sounds like you want to buy it, or you want the club to buy it...

well we thourght it was a steal first - but just wondering all these problems if not viable to even buy it .....

by all means if any mk3 fans want to chip in and buy it just pm me and work out a deal ......

but the guy is coming back today - might show him what i found and see what price he will knock it down to

Spoke to the guy today - wont budge on price even though - my crash reapir mate said could be up to 3k to fix the body reapirs -

so how much would you guys offer him ???? as a serious offer ?

for pretty much all the parts , engine - trans - body parts lights, doors mirrors etc

and treat the shell as a throw away ?

Hmm, if you were looking to fix it up I'd have to say DON'T DO IT!! But considering you are happy to just use it for parts then it's worth thinking about it. If your getting it for around the $1500 mark then it's a good chance. $2000+ it starts getting more risky. The thing you have to consider is do you have the spare cash to invest into this? i.e. What if you can't move the parts? Do you really have the room to have half a car just sitting around? I think you should put the cash into the car you already have. I just see this car being money pit. :(

Looks like i found a buyer for this supra - if the price is right -

this guy is going to buy it and just turn it into a burnout machine - trailer it to events -

I can still buy parts from him - once bought -

ie - the spare diff - so i can throw at killa ( after i blow it up :) )

he reckons he will take to regency as is :lol:
