TEMS is touchy, at best...

Lowered springs would not make it behave any better.

King springs are cheap.

Look at some white line springs and shock, or just get some Coil Overs ;)

yer lose the tems, its BS
lowered springs just make it spit the dummy
either bin it and buy coilovers
or just get springs and know that tems wont really help anyway

On my soarer i can bridge terminals E1 &Ts (engine diagnostic block) by doing this it stiffens the tems suspension.

Theres three levels of hardness on tems roger.. 'normal' is soft, 'sport' is medium, and the third setting only engages when braking, cornering or accelerating at certain speeds. The Tems firm mod overides them and keeps it in the third setting continously.
It may be usefull to other owner to note this ability to overide TEMS. Deos any one know much about it?

Cheers

I just tested this out on my MA71.
It works.
If your game, I'm guessing you could link a switch inside the cabin. E1 is the ground for the diagnostics block. So simply splicing Ts at the TEMS computer, putting a switch in and grounding it, you can override the ECU and have TEMS on firm for the entire time when switched on.
This is using the check system however. When I was testing it, I could hear the motors in the shocks working, however I didn't test if it was doing it properly.

Might be something I tackle in my spare time.
Here is a wiring diagram of the TEMS system. http://www.cygnusx1....px?S=Main&P=114 (this page and the next one)

Doing a bit of searching (even tho I should be doing other stuff....)

Access Diagnostic Block and Wires
It's in the engine bay, next to the fuse block and battery.
Locate Ts=Violet, E1=Brown wires.
Plug wires into top or splice leads into bottom of block. (Tap into, do not remove stock wiring.)
Feed your wires into the cabin (I cut hole under clutch pedal).

Connect Switch
Use a easy access off/on pushbutton.
Place the Ts and E1 leads onto the two terminals.

Operation
Push button on:
If TEMS -NORMAL- is on, will have steering wheel feedback by the blinking TEMS indicators.
If TEMS -SPORT- is on, will have FIRM locked in!

Push button off:
TEMS has normal control, with -NORMAL- and -SPORT- control.

My advise would be to get the Ts wire from inside the cabin, it's the only violet wire coming out of the TEMS computer.
Then you can just ground the other side of the switch, coz as stated above, E1 is just a grounding wire for the diagnostic block.
If it's just for a once off track day, you could get away with just jumpering E1 and TS with a paperclip for the day.

I am curious to find out how the HKS TEMS level selecter actually worked. I'll keep digging around and see what I can find!
