my personal experience with Sinergy is that they (Rob) looked for a Supra for me for many months and finally found The One that is mine today. Sinergy have worked on my Supra from Day 1 (when they were known as PVP Imports) and have done all the mechanical work (servicing, upgrades) on it over the years. while they may not be able to claim responsibility for the power output being so freaky, they continue to help me keep it in top condition! :friends:

as i've said before, i specifically brought my Supra in through Sinergy (then PVP), brought my latest car in through them (my V35 daily driver), and will get my next car through them (TBA...)

they were able to find a new car for Hao (a V35!) after he wrote off his red TT Supra in February this year (after the soundoff at APS).

What I would be interested to know more about is how much real 'tuning' do they do down there or is it all compliance and servicing mainly? I guess Kim could answer this question.

Sinergy's focus over the years has primarily been import compliance, sales and servicing. they certainly do carry out the installation and upgrade of performance parts on a daily basis (hence the Performance Parts and Vehicles PVP name) and have done so for many Supra owners here over the years.

they can do a variety of performance upgrades from a simple intercooler change up to engine installations. however, as with many workshops, Rob and his team are only limited by time and hoist space! Exotic engine swaps and turbo upgrades are possible, but that stuff does take time and effort to do properly (full respect to Brenton and Fours N More for the work that they do)

they do the following well:
* searching for eligible cars in Japan
* importing and compliance work
* sales, servicing and maintenance
* assisting with defect clearance

as Sinergy have more staff now (and therefore have time) they will be able to help with the supply/retail of imported performance parts (new and second hand). if you're after something, just ring Rocco at the office or ask me here.

at the moment, tuning for major upgrades (boost, turbos, fuel) at Sinergy is hard to do as we don't have an in-house dyno (yet). also as we all know, tuning is time consuming and difficult to get right at the best of times, thus we would refer customers to the appropriately equipped (and experienced) tuning houses after the installation of parts.

hope that this helps! if you have any questions, just ask me here as i look after this forum subsection for Sinergy.

Hey ultra_supra, come to that time (well past that time) for my car to get its first service (with me as the owner) and just have a few questions about Sinergy.

1. Are they open (and service cars) on saturday - as i work 8-5 every week day and cant get out there?
2. Do they change every fluid in the car (the car being a GTR skyline) e.g. Oil, Brake, gearbox etc?
3. What are their prices roughly for servicing and supplying all the fluids (if they supply them)?

Hopefully you can help me with the Q's, If not i'll send em an email :)

Thanks mate.

1. Sinergy is open on Saturdays but usually only for sales, not servicing (the mechanics get most of their weekends off!) However, they're open weekdays 0830-1730 and the guys are generally there till past 6pm anyway. what I usually do is to drop my car off the evening before and then pick it up at the end of the day - you'll need a mate to pick you up that night and be without your car in the morning. sometimes there is a working mechanic on Saturday, but you'd have to ask Rob.

2. oil/coolant/brake/powersteering/gearbox fluids... it's really up to you what you want done - you can ask them to do as little or as much as you want! a standard service generally doesn't include brake fluid or gearbox fluid changes. they would generally recommend going to a transmission specialist for gearbox stuff.

3. it's best to ask them yourself re pricing as this will depend on what you want done. a 100,000km service with timing belt will be different to a simple oil & filter change. it would be worth bringing your car in for an inspection to see what needs to be done. they'll have most fluids in the workshop unless you're after fancy or exotic stuff eg. Endless brake fluid (which is kept at my place ;) )

actually, Skylines are their first specialty - one of Rob's first import compliance licences was for the R32 GT-R. they are able to compliance R32/33/34/V35 platforms.

give Rob or Rocco a call in the office tomorrow (Saturday) on 8269 7769. if you were a club financial member ($20/pa) you'd get 10% off servicing (SA Supra discount at Sinergy is authorised/verified through me only)

all the best. let me know if you need any more info.

cheers - Kim

There you go fellas here is a good reason to become financial. If you take your car to Sinergy for a service and your bill is at least $200.00 you have covered your membership. If the service is over that you can certainly make good savings. :yes:

Cheers
