which means stock turbo's have to go.
I could just- take them off... but where is the fun in that? I wan't them to go BANG.. I want little chunks of my turbo's getting lodged into Joe Blows radiator from is EA Falcon.
How much do you think they will take? they laugh at 18psi... and spike to 20psi when they are feeling randy.
I remember when me and karma were messing around with my MBC we left a vaccum hose disconnected and we got unlimited boost, this is the hose that I need to find again, this is the only thing that can kill these little buggers.
I want 23psi minimum.. and I need a cold night.
Bets on how long they will last?
Cheers.. Matty.

bring it on...
however, i do agree with what Darren and George have said - depending on which wheel breaks(exhaust/compressor), there is a chance of the bits destroying your engine; and you should monitor your AFR's as you will be heading towards the limit of your injectors. it would be a shame to lean out at high boost and lunch your engine
perhaps another dyno event at Mildren's? how about a mini dyno day sometime in March when the weather has cooled down a bit?

Rather than selling it for 18k like the shitty offers I get I might aswell just keep it in the shed and drive it on weekends...
Buying an aristo in a few weeks for a daily, so the supra will be predominantly a track car.. occasionally driven on the road.
I appreciate the concern from everyone, how nice of you. I suppose I should listen to you old boys and do the "careful" thing... maybe just 21psi? my AFR's are dead perfect on 18psi already.
If the single turbo went bang I wouldn't replace them with stockies, and if I was defected I highly doubt I would go to the trouble to return it to stock, just strip everything out and make it a track car.. this turbo is looking to me like the perfect track turbo. Positive boost from around 2400rpm, full boost around 3200rpm. Power will peak around 310rwkw and will be very responsive.
The aristo will be the drag car, big laggy turbo, something to make Gav's look like a t28 :) Have heard good things about Mr Billet turbo's at the moment so that might be the go. George (APS) it will be good to see how the 6boost manifold works for you, he has a good rep, shit time turnaround though from what I hear.. very busy man.
Also, I think TK (bloke who did Gav and Andy's engine word) may have a new customer for the aristo motor in a few months time. Im aiming for 450rwkw through the built MV A340E transmission.
4200 stall ftw.
I at least have to rip one final skid with the stock twins on, video's to come.

Good plans i already got my manifold and goodies, as soon as the car gets back from a what looks to be a real high quality paint job they will be getting installed.
As far as power figures i get asked from people what the setup will do, but like DB Drag racing you never know what a sound system will pull untill you get it on the meter. In this case dyno, so i have no idea what mine will do, dyno will tell after the turbo side, fuel plenum side gets all taken care off.
Only then will i be able to stand against a wall and piss on the mark i aimed for :).

Assail on Aust site allegedly ran 22psi for years w/o bad effect.
Would hate to spray wheely bits inside the engine though?
Bring on the super skidzor vid !

the most i have recorded during the day on my stock setup is a peak of 1.36bar (~20psi) on the track. that was with the exhaust as free flowing as it can get (TA dump, mid, 3.75" exhaust). i don't have a boost controller, so am not sure if i can get more than that. i suspect that everything is maxed out for me (flow, wastegate, etc).
how did Assail get his 22psi peak?
