hey all,

well wen i first got my supra it came with a 8000kv xenon light kit anways 1 of the bulbs i assumed stopped working but bout 10mintues ago i started to fiddle again and realised that the globe wasnt stuffed but the actual box itself is stuffed. i opened it and it was covered in some form of insulation so stopped fiddling. is there anyway to fix this porblem and can i get 1 seperate box (similar) or do i need to get a whole new kit.

cheers bois kosta

When you mention insulation, is it a silicon type of semi solid material? If yes, then you won’t be able to repair it as you would need to remove all this material (next to impossible) to find the problem.

If you find the problem and are able to fix it, you then need to replace with the same or similar material. From my days at Bosch, the material is used to draw heat away from the electronics as the ballast for Xenon get very hot.

Not sure if you can buy 1 on it’s own as they normally come in kits.
