So I've read the recommendations for fours n more, boostworx etc. but how many Supras do these guys have experience with? Are there any JZA80 specialists in Adelaide? Any mechs who drive a Supra?

Just looking for someone with better than average knowledge/experience with the cars, for example the way MRE know their sevens.

Cheers,

Nick.

i would say that the person who knows a Supra turbo (JZA80 with 2JZ-GTE) the best inside-out mechanically here in SA is Reaper :D Would anyone like to contest this point? :aggressive:

however, in terms of Adelaide workshops that know JZA80s well: the majority of members on this forum will tell you that they swear by FoursNmore and Sinergy.

Brenton and his team at Fours N More have done some fantastic work on the cars of our club members (i'll let them speak for themselves), and the guys at Sinergy have done all the work on my Supra (and it has the numbers on the dyno and the track to prove it)

so imho, the two JZA80 specialists here in Adelaide would be Fours N More and Sinergy.

if there's a workshop out there that thinks that it specialises in Supras - we would be talking about them and realistically they should be a club sponsor.

hope this helps.

In my experience, if you want to know who the best mechanic for a JZA80 is that would be the owner of the actual car :). I should know god dammit :).

Reaper is very knowledgeable when it comes to Supras, but if u want someone to work on your car perhaps try Fours 'n' More and Sinergy.

Nick in all honesty I think you wouldn't do much better than Sinergy or Fours N More. Both workshops work on many of the Supras here and both either have Supras as personal vehicles or have business partners that own one. Both these firms have highly regarded reputations with Supras and other vehicles. As far as engine tweaks and improvements go REAPER would have to be the man  as he is definately Mr.Research and knows the 2JZ-GTE pretty intimately by now as his poor wife would probably agree

Cheers
Darren

Yes, I reckon I'm more familiar with the 2J now than wifey if you catch my drift!
More I work on the car the less wifey lets me work on her - dang, can't win.
