I'm in.

Could also do a new category of those that have attended both days with a "Most Improved" award.

Just a thought. Providing i am in the state/country i will be there. Car will probably be unregistered but nothing a permit can't fix :)

two (2) months to Dyno Day, guys!

it's less than 9 weeks away, so you'd better get ready to roll soon...

trophy categories:

* MkIV Single / 2JZ Open Category (for turbo conversions etc.)
* MkIV TT (2JZ GTE stock twins) - doesn't include Darren!
* MkIV NA Section
* MkIII / A70's
* Hybrid / Non-Supras
* Wooden Spoon (lowest powered car on the day = Sootie last year)

First dibs on the wooden spoon. I'll probably end up with my baby on a trailer, with nothing working, just to get her there ;)

How does it work that the A80 guys have 3 trophies and the A70 guys only have 1? Little unfair IMO.

Anyways, i wont be there now cos i threw my crank pulley on sunday whilst on gate at about 7000rpm. Motor is requiring some freshening up and will hopefully be out of the car at this time.

The fact that there is 3 times more JZA80 trophies is probably in direct relation to the ratio of JZA80-70 entrants on the day, remember last year Jon?

You were the only MKIII weren't you?

Well, only YOU! showed up last year BJ so that is why I only made 1x trophy for MkIII.
If more MkIII guys HAD expressed interest last year there WOULD have been more.

Now, IF there are more confirmed entrants in the MkIII category this year it WILL expand.
Club runs on a shoe-string so wasn't going to splurge out on multiple MkIII trophies was I?

More than happy to expand the range but if none of you guys show up to kick some ass then it will only be the 1x category again this year.

Just like AIR re-opening >> show your support and it will happen.

As I said in the opening post - I would bloody love it if all the single MkIII crew rocked up to kick butt and take names!!

On that basis we will now start taking confirmations for the Dyno Day - please advise.

Ta,
Gaven

PS- sorry to hear about your car mate, I just replaced my crank pulley to avoid what's happened to you mate, bugger! Don't worry the Titan pulley for my car was only about 500US w/o freight!

Well i guess it would depend on how many A70's rocked up, but yeah, just my initial thoughts. AFAIK you are right with last year tho with me being the only one, although i don't recall it being advertised on SF.com.au; toymods or toyotacarclub where most of us "old schoolers" are....

My thoughts would have been perhaps one for turbs and one for na for both A70's and A80's, but again it would depend on who entered, obviously.

As for the crank pulley, the ironic thing is it was coming off the road in the next few months for a freshen up anyway. Fluidyne crank pulley from US is 600 :o

Oh God! Kill me - 600 US - beastly.
Sucks don't it - you start fucking with things and then shit happens eh?

Bloody cars.

Was advertised on SF.com.au the day before the dyno FFS! (only as SAS was down for hacking probably at the time) so sorry, you're absolutely correct in that sense.

Will advertise in the national SA sub-forum this time though to cast the net was wide as poss.

Cheers mate, good luck with da ride!

GEE :cheers:
