has anyone heard of jza80 owners installing the whiteline specific suspension pack

it comes with

- front and rear stiffer sway bars with adjustable blades. rates up 50%
- polyurethane bushes front and rear, including steering rack bush for improved feel.
- whiteline lowering springs with matched rates to shocks
- koni adjustable shock absorbers
- whitelines specific alingment instructions for camber, toe, castor depending on how low you want the car to sit. this helsp with even tyre wear and better handling.

i think all up its around the $1500 mark. not bad for all that i think and is said to make car handle ten times better, be more predictable, and have a more aggresive nose dive look stance.

they offer the handling pack, sports pack or the works pack. the works has everything mentioned. the sports pack has just the springs and shocks. handling pack has swaybars, bushes.

any feedback apreciated. my brother is thinking of doing all this, and i might follow suit. cheers.

i looked into it and whiteline have discontinued some of the parts in the pack like bushes and shocks. superpro apparently make all of the bushes needed.

Sounds pretty sweet. The best rice option ever. You better budget for nearly that much to get them fitted

ahahhah im never going to hear the end of this. each post i make will be labelled rice hahaah!

but on topic. whiteline still sell swaybars and bushes apart from upper front and rear bushes. super pro make these and is less than 400 for the set. i asked around they say 150-250 for fitting these bushes. their supposedly meant to make ur car feel newer, sharper, more responsive and direct when combined with good spring/shock or coilover setup, including swaybars.

i want my supra to feel very toight mate! lol

i think the shocks go for 1000.

but i called whiteline and they dont do the pack anymore. so im thinking a set of coilovers like andy's would be nice with the bushing kit and swaybars but a bit overkill.

u can still do the pack that whiteline used to by buying some parts separately. the konis r 3-way adjustable ride height. all of the bushes around 400. swaybars 400. konis 1000, springs 5-600. so all up 2400. bit pricey as some would rather coilovers. i want to drive in ur car andy. see what it feels like.

According to Kim and Gavin, my car feels very tight and precise. All I have is coil overs. We are assuming the bushes on my control arms etc are in top shape…

Even replacing the standard with new OEM make the car feel like new again (You need to replace the complete suspenion arm). I personally wouldn’t go urethane bushes as they are way too hard (plus they squeak when dry). I would stick with to rubber.

R I C E ! :bleh:

Yeah, I looked into the Whiteline works kit a little while back and like rice master sooties says, it's been discontinued. Probably because every one goes for some kind of coilovers rather than their "kit".

No front brace, just Tein Superstreets.

If you want less roll, install the TT sway bars as the NA bars are tiny.

When Brenton replaced my diff cradle he put in new poly bushes, quiet as a mouse piddling on a piece of cotton wool. Thats quiet, no squeaks from me.. :D

I had Pedders polyurethane bushes all through my VH Commodore and never had a squeak in over 13 years from them. I had them fitted when that stuff was almost rocket science so I would imagine they would have improved by now.

Cheers
Darren

I'm with darren!

I had ALL the bushes on my V8 VN replaced with Pedders polyurethane bushes and I can honestly say there was never any issue of ANY noise or squeaks.

When you read up about the, now extinct, Whiteline kit you'll realise they only replace select bushes. The bushes Whiteline replace are the large front rubber bushes (amongst others) and the reason they do this is to reduce suspension compliance (flex) in that particular area due to the size and age of those particular components. Thus improving steering response and "crispness".

When I get a chance/money I'll be looking to replace all my bushes with aftermarket items, Whiteline or whatever.

i'll be upgrading my factory TT sway bars this year (to whiteline or TRD items) - do you want them, sootie?

the whiteline handling packs do make a difference - a couple of my S15 mates put them in for track work and commented that they improved things. more info later.
