thats what i should do really, as i have the TT gearbox and diff already, so ill just need the motor!, but for some reason im drawn to NA-T, the thought of big single turbo and noise it makes is appealing, but would be more cost effective to do what relax did!

Maybe/maybe not. Your engine is in good condition. You might buy a cheap 2JZ-GTE then you may need to rebuild it.

In my opinon, it will be cheaper to turbo your NA. Forget resale as our cars aren't RZs howver you might be able to wing it if the person buying the car has no clue.

if i went to sell it i would take the na-t kit off and sell as genuine NA, youd get more money from the car and turbo kit seperately! i saw an na-t 5 years ago going for 23k and it was for sale for over a year, it was a 95 model back in 2001 so it was quite a new car back then!

you make a good point about engine being in good condition, but im scared of being defected! single turbo and external wastegate = loud! but does sound fucn awesome~!

can it really be engineered? does anyone really know whats involed with this, do they engineer it to be quiet etc. cost?

A reasonable sized exhaust will minimise noise. That is the last of the problems. Turboed engines are quiet compared to NAs as they have a huge muffler bolted to the manifold...

For example, our NAs with extractors and a 2.5inch system should be louder than a TT with a 3 inch system

For those contemplating NA --> NA-T conversion or NA --> TT transplant, here is a testimony that may be of interest to you:

You'll just have to find that 2JZ-GTE and 6spd drive train now...

People usually choose turbo or superchargers because it's the much cheaper option rather then spending so much cash. Everyone is right if you do want 200rwkw you'll be looking at alot of money for an NA car. I think everyone knows about how good a V-tec engine is for NA and even still people go to the turbo option for even more power. Although if you were to get your car at that much power i'd be very impressed. Good luck with whatever you decided. i always say it's your car and you should do it up the way you want it to be. :D
