Hi all moving to Oz and advice appreicated

Hi all,
I've joined this forum as I am British but emigrating to Adelaide in August. I' heavily into my Jap cars in the UK and have recently sold my FD RX7 to fund this.
Now I'd like to get involved with the car scene again when I'm over.

I've been reading about defects etc (which is a new one on me as pretty much anything goes in the UK as long as passed MOT and is insured) and it has got me worried.

I have read all the info I can find but I'm pretty confused about what is legal and what is not. I'm 31 so not a "young lad" as the police look out for here.
I understand the simple things like ride height, tints, BOV etc.

What I really want to know is how much can I tune the car. I'm heavily into tuning, to the point my RX was single turbo'd and running 459 rwhp.
Now this took a lot of work (and money) and I needed to single turbo the car and FMIC, aftermarket ECU etc.

Now is it possible to do this in SA and reach this kind of power with these cars or is it all a big no, no??

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated....

I will be living in Victor Harbor initially.

Thanks and I look forward to the advice!!

SASupra Hoodie Images

Hi Guys,

Im drawing up the design for the much anticipated SASupra hoodies/jackets that H3RJZA is organising.

We still need to check if you can use the same layout as the hard tuned skyline ones
http://www.gtrblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/skyline3.jpg

I am having trouble finding some high res images online of various supras at the right angles, this is where you come in.
http://nearlyenoughdice.com/wp-content/uploads/109.jpg

I need to trace the outlines and shading of the MKI, MKII, MKIII, MKIV supra.
I need 2 pictures of each type of supra, a front and back picture. The picture needs to be taken at a right angle to the car directly in front or behind.

for example
http://www.drifted.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/IMG_4925-copy.jpg

If anyone could take pictures of their own cars and PM me it would be much apreciated.
Then when these get made up you could be all "see that MKII on the jacket... yep, thats mine "

Cheers guys, LJZ

Pics I have already

MKI
MKII
<del class='bbc'>MKIII</del> - Thanks to harleyMKIII

Group Buy SaSupra Jumpers

Hi there guys,

so there's been a recent mention of getting some SaSupra hoodies made up, but before we can go through with anything being made up we need to know how many of you all would be interested in getting one, if we cant get enough interest in getting them, we may not be able to go ahead with them, so here's your chance to have your say! Get around it

First things first. Just to make it clear to you all, we would only have these jumpers made of the best quality materials, The design will be nicely detailed and will be printed onto the jumper of best quality. We'd also make sure that we make them as cheap as possible for you guys aswell.

were not set on any designs yet but it would be something along the lines of the skyline hoodie, if you havent seen it here is a picture of the skyline one below

we could do something similar to this by having the generations of supras on it
(We want your opinion on this, were thinking of having the MA61's, A70's, A71's & A80's, but let us know what you want to see)
maybe look at having the front of the cars on the front and then the rear of the cars on the back of the jumper, We'd also have SaSupra written on it somewhere and maybe some logos (eg. TRD but thats something we need to decide on, let me know of any ideas that you may have ) We also spoke about having something personalised, maybe we could look at getting names embroidered onto the jumpers (eg. H3R JZA, LJZ, PHANTOM, IcE) these are just some examples, you could get anything from a nick name, to forum names to your personalised plates.

It would also be good to have these made so that when we have car shows for example, cruises, dyno days any type of SaSupra events, they will be a good way to present the club and it would also make the club look very professional..

if your interested post below your member name, size, quantity (XS, S, M, L, XL, UP TO 5XL) and what name you would like to have embroidered onto the jumper, if you would be interested in the jumper without a name printed onto it perhaps post your member name with the word plain next to it.

Later down the track depending on how these go, we could look at getting some plain ones (without names) made up to sell to sell as merchandise for the club.

ALSO** would you guys prefer jumpers or jackets?

NOW GO! express your interest & for those of you with any ideas that you may have PM me

Hey again guys and girls,

All I seem to be dong lately is asking for help but I only have one more thing to do to my Supra before I can pass it through it's final compliance test and start coming on cruises with you all.

Anyway I brought some stock suspension for the supra that was still too low (15mm at front and 5mm at rear). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to bump it up the few extra mil?

I was thinking something that would fit on the top of the spring to boost it a little but I am not sure where to go to get them fabricated.

As always any help would be great.

broken turbo?

hey all,

ive recently bought a 1995 twin turbo supra, was driving it for a few weeks and thought something wasnt quite right so i took it to my mechanic at jaustech in holden hill and he reckons one of my turbos isnt working properly or possibly broken. so i now need some advise on what my next options are....
ive had alot of people tell me alot of different things as in what my next step is, such as getting a better bigger/smaller for more bottom end or more top end, but i figured i should go other supra owners for help
also would it be better to replace the turbos with stock supra turbos or replace them with other brands, eg garret?

i have my dyno sheet attached; maybe someone can have a look and tell me what they think is wrong in the turbo pressure section and let me know which turbo could be failing. im pretty sure they are set to 7psi and 11psi.

My name's Mick and I've been on here for years and I guess I should give you a little bit of a rundown about how I ended up here and why I'm still here

I was MsMA70's best mate and backyard mechanic.

I couldnt have asked to have known anyone as awesome as her to be honest, she was a great person with a huge smile and huge heart.

Back in 2007, Nays(MsMA70) passed away from a medical condition at the age of 23.

I was there when she called me with complications and I drove her to the hospital and unfortunately watched her pass away.

Ever since then, there has been a memorial cruise for her each year (which is great by the way), I'm sure she would have loved it.

So, after her passing I couldn't negotiate with her mother to sell me her Supra, so I intended on rebuilding my KE25 Corolla when I discovered massive rust in the roof and canned the idea, sold it to Rigoli Racing who are now running 7-sec 1/4's in it!

I then bought my JZX100 and haven't looked back since.

http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/75336_10150127316479046_623574045_7879943_1019467_a.jpg

It has the engine she wanted to put in her MA70, so I guess it kinda suits, I'm sure she would have loved the feel of boosting.

Anyway, I plan to get this thing on the rollers when the dyno day happens this year, sadly after that, I'm moving to Cairns to live with a mate and start over fresh.

I'll still be back from time to time throughout the year and will try and coincide my returns with a Supra meet and get one of you clowns to pick me up and take me out on one

Thats my story in a nutshell.

Cheers

Hi all,
Names Nathan and I own a '94' SZ with the Veilside bodykit. Its completely stock though I hope to change that over the coming months. I've only owned her for a few months now but as I've only recently moved to south australia, I need some help. The bodykit has a few small cracks and I've been keyed so I'm just wondering where a good place is to get them fixed. Also, I'm in need of a good mechanic as engine and tranny need service. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hello Strangers

Hey Guys,

Guess you have not heard or seen from me in ages, as I dropped off the scene.

Reason being I had a change of direction in my work, my business started to take off, and have a few good contracts.

Downside is due to my work pre-ceeding me it now takes me to the Eastern states on a regular basis, primarily Canberra and Melbourne.

And due to a new contract in installing 3G and Next G internet services, in regional australia, I'm rarely in Adelaide these days, but try my best to get back when I can.

Was in Adelaide recently, only having to drop my supra off to brenton as it stopped turning over kinda miss the low hum. But it was in need of work just have not had the time to drop it down to Fours'n'more.

But upside is, I will be back in April next for about 2 weeks, need a break, from the nutcase drivers here in the ACT. Had an accident occur just outside the place I'm staying in over here earlier today.

I also got to see something I have not seen in Adelaide a flowing river in flood. Its the Molonglo river running thru the lower part of Queanbeyan near the ACT/NSW border. Quite the site I must say, they are predicting if there is further heavy rainfall it will flood the riverside plaza underground car park again. Like it did in 2010.

But I so wish I was back in Adelaide, its too bloody cold over here at this time of year, only got to a Max of 18 thats winter tempratures, brrrrr.

So be nice to see whats been going on in my absense.

Talk Soon

Facebook Integration

Hey guys,

After a couple of suggestions on Sunday, I've turned on Facebook integration.

What this means, is that you can now sign into the forums with your Facebook login, if you so wish.

If you want to turn this on, please follow these steps (this is for existing members):

On the left hand side of the forums, click My Settings
Then click on Profile
Then click on Manage Facebook Connect and hit 'Login with Facebook' and it will ask you all the usual questions about accepting the SA Supra application, just hit the Accept/Yes/Ok button and its all done!

(or if youve been paying attention you can just click on the last link i posted which should take you straight to it!)

This should make signing on to the forums a lot easier for those that dont frequent the forums much. You can also make Facebook status updates straight from the forums and also synch your profile pictures and the like between the two.

Thats it for now, but stay tuned as i try to get a few more goodies up and running in the way of further Facebook integration!

Cheers,

hey as most of you are aware its gone very quiet on the SA supra front. well on the site here anyway. just thought id try and make an attempt. LJZ and i were thinking of trying to make an event soon of a cruise an bbq. just ideas at this point but just thought we should try and get something going because i have been asked by a lot of non sasupra members obviously with supras to get something going and try and bring our love for the cars back together. especially now the weather has become a lot warmer. Any idea's would be great. thinking maybe another run down south or up north. although i am aware a large group of the club and non club people are up north. maybe set something up in advance so people can get off work. seems to be a common issue for a lot of people. Let me know what you think. might be able to get more activity on the site

2011/2012 Subs and the new Store!

Ladies and Gentlebeings, children of all ages,

It has come to my attention, that there are quite a lot of existing financial members that havent paid their subs this financial year.

On behalf of the club, i ask that you consider renewing your financial membership to allow SA Supra to continue on into the future and to ensure that we can continue to have this wonderful place for us to hang out and organise events for all lovers of the beautiful beast that is the Toyota Supra!

This year, we have implemented a brand new way of paying your financial membership fees! For those that attended the AGM earlier this year, you would have been shown this, but for every one else, you may have seen at the top right of the forums a new button called 'Store'!

From here, you are able to purchase SA Supra Merchandise, including T-Shirts, Caps Stubbie Coolers and of course your financial membership! For those of you that havent noticed, or are just too lazy to look (you know who you are!) you are able to click on this link to be taken straight to the store! Simply add in what items you would like, follow the prompts for payment and then we will organise delivery of your desired products or in the case of membership, it will be applied to your account automatically upon confirmation of payment!

Nice and easy, just how we all like it!

If you have any questions about the Store, please either ask myself, or JTMILLER and we'd be more than happy to help. Alternatively, if you have questions about financial membership, ask any one on the committee!

On behalf of the committee

Cheers,
I've had people tell me get a Viper .. but wondering if anyone else has had one installed or other systems and if you have had some good experiences, where'd you sourced them from? and get them installed. I've also been looking at bluewire motorsports!

Hi guys,
i think its about time my car needs the timing belt changed. Ive never had to get one done on any of my cars before however i hear from people there bigggggg bucks.
My question is, how can i save myself some money on this, ive been told anywhere between $900-$1600 which is wayyyyy more than im willing to spend at the moment, and aside from keeping the car in the garage until i can fork out that kind of money does anyone know where i might be able to save a few dollars. Im getting a major service done on it monday, minus the timing belt but there going to have a look at give me a quote. If it comes back too expensive i might leave it for now, although im at THE 100k mark. Would Fours n more be a cheaper option for just the timing belt as well? anyone had that done from them?

Rear rubber on18 x 9.5" rims

Hey guys, due to switching to grip set-up on my toy car "180sx"

i am after maximising the rear grip. I have spent $ on complete after market suspension components, adjustable everything under the car. and the rear cradle has been adjusted for max traction. Now its the rear rubber.

with 255's on it i still experienced grip issues around corners with boost say around 12psi "currently its tuned for a very responsive 210rwkw @ 17 psi "small responsive turbo".

so anyways:

Where am i able to grab good wide rubber? i am thinking of grabbing 2 sets for the rear and trying them out. i am thinking of trying out 275's and maybe 285's

Any past experiences with brands and grip would be nice too!

before someone tries to flame.. i posted on here because i know our supras come out stock with wide ass wheels / rubber so chances are a few members would already be running on rubber at or above the 3's bracket.. or at least close to.

180sx forums are a fail since all just wana stretch tiny rubber for the killa offset and drift... i don't want that

New Registration Disc situation

Yeah I know I was bored.

OK as all of you probably now know as of July 1st this year Motor Reg no longer send us a sticker to affix on our window. The question I ask is if for some reason the new rego paperwork gets lost in the mail ( It does happen believe me )who is responsible if you get caught driving an un-registered vehicle ??? No excuse before as you could glance at the sticker and see when it expired so at least you could log on and do an online registration, but not now. I can see lots of people over the next few years getting fined even though not their fault.

Just another way of the State Government saving money and increasing fine input.

Fitting front brake pads and discs?

Hey guys,

quick question.

Is it a fairly simple job to change the front brake pads and discs, i recently had the back pads done when i got my service but the fronts i was waiting on.
I dont really want to spend any more money at the moment so i was hoping i could just do it myself, i did change the pads on my old 320i BMW a few years back
but i never was really to confident about the job i did lol.

If anyone has any pointers or tips let us know, i would like to hopefully do it soon.
Just note the paintjob was done before i brought it, some like it some hate it, im not to fussed eitherway
I guess the reason i joined was to get my car out in part of a club as it is pointless to have it sitting around the the garage where it cant bee seen.
Hope to see some of u around

Well wat can I say about myself im my short little luncyh break.

Well my name is Felicia and im from the north (Burton)
I have lived in the north all my life and am now renting a place on my own and have been for the last year and a half.
I drive a 94 Silver Supra which gets most of the attention.
The plates are HER2JZ some of you may have seen me around. Im sometimes down South but usually pulled over looking at google map or something.
I have seen SPRAGRL around as she lives not far from me and we usually use the same car wash. :-)

Other than that I also have an interest in animals and have or had probably every pet under the sun. My two favourites are definately my puppys.
I own two Siberian Husky's my boy its 14 months (grey) and female 13 weeks (black and white). They just fit in my car atm with struggle but I doubt they will when shes all grown up. LOL

When I go down and wash the car there usually with me and I wash them all together. LOL. Love the new dog washers they come in so handy when I am also there washing the beast. So if ya do see me at hollywood car wash make sure to come say hi...

Well guys, obviously new here, do not own a supra yet but i am seeking one, so i thought i would join the local supra community/club. Played footy for the eagles before that turned sour, currently playing for Glenunga Football Club with some mates. Love happy hour at clubs (two for one vodkas ) as im a tight-ass, as well as busting a few moves on the dance floor and laughing at mates who cant handle themselves. Been with the girlfriend for 5 years, almost time for the left hand to get a bit heavier. Love trying new things and learning about anything and everything.

What do i want to get out of the Club/community? Knowledge, under the hood, exterior, interior, audio you name it. A community where people with similar automotive interests can discuss and enjoy the discussions, debates and meet ups regarding their interests.

What will i give back to the club? Activeness and eventually knowledge that has been passed down to me from you guys, i am more then willing to give anyone a hand, what ever it may be.

At the moment im seeking a Manual TT RZ/RZ-S 2JZ-GTE. I am in no rush to buy but would like one to be sitting in my drive-way by my 21 birthday (couple months). I like the reliability of the 2JZ engines and the jap look of the supra, i like the idea of owning a head turner for all the right reasons. I would like to get into drifting at some stage in the future as well as these defensive driving courses that ive seen.

Im disappointed that new members dont write introductions, its quite rude and it seems they are only here to take not give, especially as its not a very big community.

Hi Guys,

I have a 96 series 1 RZ.I have a HKS twin plate clutch that has just started to slip only a little. This is only occurring when I use reverse then take off in first & ever so slightly in second. All other gears are fine. If I drop the clutch quickly the slipping doesn’t occur. When I go back to first neutral & then use first & second after that the clutch is fine no slipping. Just seems to be from reverse into first. Has any one had this problem before??? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Ben- new member- take two

All right- bit of deja vu. To summarise:

I have just moved down from Darwin and have a pair of JZZ30 Soarer twin turbo manuals. A red one for the street and a black one for the track. The daily has the basic stuff done and is nothing special.

The black car has been the focus of my attention over the past couple of years. I have attempted to do everything on the car myself as it is a budget racer. I started out stripping the unnecessary luxuries (and there are heaps in a Soarer!) and adding in some coilovers and semi slicks. The usual track gear such as a fire extinguisher, gauges, seat and harness went in also. I took it to Oran park in this rig and soon found the oil temp was up around the 150 mark. Some more fettling, including some cooling mods to oil and powersteering, pinching the adjustable sway bars from the red car, a rear wing and small front lip were good enough to run 1:10s around wakefield. ( this is considered one of the bench marks for good street cars etc)

Had an unfortunate accident...

So, yesterday Dad and I had just finished putting the coilovers I bought off JDN in my car and were out for a test run.
I decided to let Dad take it for a spin since he helped with most of the work.
We came up to a corner and the rear wheels skipped and he lost it and we ended up on the side in a ditch.
Fortunately we both walked away and the damage is pretty minimal.
I might post up some photos later, but the main damage was done to the driver's side fender, rear quarter, mirror and the passenger rear window.
The roof has a small dent in it, as well as the bumper being totaled, following the intercooler, rear caster rod, petrol tank, exhaust, rear endlinks and swaybars.

So now the cars going in for a near complete restoration, hopefully with a new paintjob, getting all the panels etc. fixed, complete undercarriage makeover as well as an engine makeover and paint the bay etc. etc.

Luckily the frame's still straight, but it will take some before it sees the road again so I'll be cruising in the Hyundai 'till further notice.

And also unfortunately it's another Supra that crashed, so sorry if I get anyone harassed by the police hahaha.
I'll keep the build thread updated as time goes along, but just thought I should give you all a bit of an inform on trying to stay safe these holidays and not end up like me

Hey ppls

I need to have some repairs done to my Bomex kit (front bumper, sides and rear). Will hopefully have some cash saved in a couple months.

Can anyone suggest somewhere up north that can fibreglass repair and respray for a reasonable price and do a good job?

I would do it myself but heard fibreglass can be very messy and i dont have the time. Even if someone on here is crafty and willing to do it?????

Any help would be appreciated.

As most are aware a fatal accident occurred yesterday at Elizabath. The driver and passanger were both killed after losing control of their A80 supra. At 18 years of age their lives are tragically over...

<del class='bbc'>Does anyone on here know if this was a member of our club?</del>
Sadly it has been reported that the driver was Daniel (Dream SUPRA) - he had posted a few times on this forum but was not yet an SA Supra club member.

This is an unfortunate reminder to all here that a little more thought needs to happen before you plant the right foot.

Our club offers its members trackdays with driving instructors to minimise the chance of this sort of horrific accident happening to someone from here. Most of us like to go fast but main roads are NOT the place to do it. Trackdays offer an outlet to open up your car and test your limits in a safe and controlled environment. The instructors available on our trackdays help us identify areas that we need to improve which in turn will improve our driving on the roads as we learn how to better control our cars.

Please be careful out there people. I myself have lost a close friend to the roads (though not as a result of dangerous driving) and it is the worst feeling in the world. Think of how the people around you would feel if something happened to you.

Have fun but be safe.

Howdy! Newbie Catsy here!

Hello!

The names Catsy! Hows everyone going???

I've joined up, as I have had my eye on the Supra market for some time now. I have wanted to purchase a stock supra (preferably without having to import one, though I may have to) that was specifically green (superficial, I know, but hey, do what makes you happy right? lol I like green, deal wit it! ) So yeah! I thought I found one in Victoria, (JZA80, 2JZGE, 1994 Supra, auto, stock) and have rung around to get the security clearance, RAA (well, the RACV equivalent), redbook pricing, chat to my mechanic, etc, etc. It was VERY low kms for its 1994 age (61,000) and alarm bells rang. I thought, wow, Stock, (only an auto), GREEEN, and LOW Kms.. hang on.. low kms can mean its either rarely driven (likely story) or its had its kms "altered!!" Hmm. had to wait for the RACV results...

The chick selling it has been great, no probs there. I ask for pics of the engine and actual kms, she emails me the next day. I request RACV check, its booked in 2 days later. She said the front panel has been scratched, so its a different colour green:-( there is rust along the back windscreen and engine never been a prob! I was all, okay, factor in all the costs, fix the rust, deal with the front panel being a diff colour :'( and its stock, it'll get through regency, easy? Right? Got the results back from RACV, and as I suspected: the odometer reading doesn't match the engine kms, (she's only had the car for just over a year, and when I asked her about kms, she said she has not put a new engine in it, nor is she aware of it having had a different engine, she got it from a place that imports jap cars (perhaps they had sold her something not quite legit???)), part of the intake piping is missing, the car appears to have been in an accident (need to call about this, as she said she has never had an accident in it), the car's beautiful body is scratched all over :'( the interior has marks all throughout, Damn. The front windscreen needs replacing, something about sand scratches. Boot struts need replacing and overall, the car is being labelled as a (Yellow)caution (out of (Red)stop, (Yellow)caution or (Green)go) Nothing was in the red. Tyres, wheels and electrical got the (green) go and engine, transmission/driveline, steering/suspension, body, brakes and misc got (Yellow) caution.

The car presently lives about 100ks out of Melb, so there are flights and travel required just to view the vehicle.

With all your expert advice to my somewhat novice self, should I be purchasing this vehicle? Is it worth getting her in this condition and doing her up or should I keep hunting??? (Am I being too picky?) I did have my hopes set on purchasing her (yagh, I finally found my dream car!), and I mean, any car I get will come with history. Is this worth it???? If so.. HOW MUCH??? How much would she be to respray?

Cheers, Catsy!! :-)

Hi everyone

Finally decide to get my act together and join up for chats and shut.

This site has been a wealth of information for me over the years, so firstly, thanks.

A bit about me

James Moore
Sapphire Black 95 SZ with full Do Luck kit, 5 Speed NA (one day I may boost her,)

ROH 19" 5 Spoke Chromies, often temporarily replaced with stockies for financial reasons. Although in saying this my rubber usage has dropped as my age has risen, funny about that

I purchased my car about 6 years ago from a bloke who had recently imported and complied through BEST, he had to get rid of the Soup or his wife was going to get rid of him. Sounds like a pretty average wife, but alas it worked out well for me. My car has never had a single mechanical fault. Tocuh wood <touches head>.

Any way I hail from the NE of Adel and work as a finance broker. See you on the streets.

Hi Everyone

Hi everyone,
My Wife and I are proud owners of Rusty's 94 NA Supra. It looked too good to sell out of the family so have bought it off him so that he could chase after the twin turbo dream. Ended up with a Nissan GTR http://www.sasupra.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

I'm the one with the weird ass supra talked about in http://www.sasupra.c...s-21deg-timing/

Still not sure way this is the case, Brenton thinks it could be a different intake cam. On this topic I would like to thank Brenton and his team on the fantastic efforts in getting this Supra running so well. Going into A/H's to make sure it was right before we drove home to Mt Gambier. Thank you and would HIGHLY recommend Brenton to do a fantastic job on anyone's pride and joy car.

I have been fixing up a few cosmetic things on the car. New radiator and thermo fans, A/C working now too (manditory in this car), Dash repainted and in the process of doing the brake calipers, the previous owner before Rusty had a very childish attempt. I have some photos of jobs done and jobs to be done.
http://picasaweb.goo...9/Modifications#

I caught up with a bunch of Supra people at the Adelaide Auto Slolon which was good to put faces to names and cars.
Hopefully I can make it for one of your cruises sometime or if I'm in Adelaide for a cruise I'll post it and maybe you might join us. Otherwise if your down in the Mount lets us know and we can catch up for a cruise/drink.

Regards

Hey guys. i just managed to get my hands on a new set of rims. they where off a damaged car and for the price and the condition of the others and there tyres i had to. The only down side is in the accident of the car the front left came out a little bent. i have been told by the rim shop on south road just down from sir Donald brad-man drive that they can re-roll it for 185. just wondering if anyone new of anywhere else i should try out first??

this also means i have a full set of 15" rims and tyres for sale. tyres have almost 80% tread on the front and 65% on the rear. i only want $250. just to cover the tyres.

Hey Guys
A few of the fellas at work want to put in a pit, but I vaguely remember hearing that putting in a pit these days is very hard to do legally, due to ventilation and hazards etc. Does anyone know where to look for this info? tried safework SA but they are a bit useless.

As its a mine and we get inspected semi regularly needs to be done properly.

Hey all

Hey guys, i have been a supra lover for a long time now and always owned them but i thought i should finally join the club after being hassled by a few mates to join. i own two supra's both being of the older generation's

1st supra:
Car Year: 1984
Car Model: MA61
Car Colour: Dark grey, with added decals
Car Trans: 5 Speed
Engine: stock 5m-e at the moment besides multiple things being removed (etc. air pump, ac and powersteer)
Bodykit: stock body
Wheels: stock ma61 rims
Mods:
extractors
full 3 inch exhaust to rear muffler
upgraded springs, shock etc.
the body has been cleaned up and sprayed in a dark gun metal grey. however, has been covered in toyota car club decals. very bad looking decal. will have to be redone.
Future mods: things like brake upgrade and all sorts. but also a 2jzgte conversion. this is a while off though

other:
The car is actually the old toyota car club build car. As far as i was led to believe it was being set up for track work before the owner ran out of time and money so he sold up. unfortunately it is defected so it needs to be returned to stock before it can be street driven. due to lots of other commitments and many other cars i have not got around to finishing it. But will be getting strong into it soon. so hopefully back up and running soon. the good thing is i have the equivalent of a whole car in parts besides the shell to help me get this thing going. just need the time. hahahaha.

yes very bad decals and they will be gone. it has the red sign both sides. the writing on both the c pillars. also has very small toyota car club images all over the car in little colour writing

this is all different and slowly becoming original again and better looking

the very messy excuse of an engine bay. I do have a spare engine to go in though

2nd Supra:
Car Year: 1989
Car Model: GA70
Car Colour: White
Car Trans: 5 Speed
Engine: 1ggte. Eventually will be fitting a 1jz into it
Bodykit: stock
Wheels: some real crap ones that will go real soon
Mods:
boost controller
bov
crap rims
large K and N pod
the rest is just stock but it will see a 1jz, the bigger brake upgrade , coilovers, rims (real soon), fresh paint and the odd bit as i go

the car is mostly stock. but nice and clean besides the odd things the old owner has changed . but with the low k's and everything still working well im pretty happy

the mods are a little wanky but from previous owner and should be gone soon. and a 1j eventually in place. though this solid case of a 1g has only done 114,xxxk

the bad side of things. this is all in the process of being replaced. just need to find the good stock parts. all the white is going.

sorry about the massive write up but i thought i should post up my love for supra's and my two kind of examples of them. thanks for reading hope to get involved more with the club and get to know others that love supra's just as much.

hia peeps

Hi Girls and Guys, Just introducing myself..

Name is Michael, all my friends call me Mikey, I used to be an old member on here but became inactive after selling my old JZA70 few years back. after going on holidays to Dubai and phazing away from import scene i just got hungry for it and now bakc into it!, i unfortunatly purchased a JZZ30 GT-TL and working on making it a fine example of a clean presented jap car.

My personal preference with modding a car would be engine and presentation, NO bodykits. i find that they wreck the true looks of the car. a jap car already looks beautiful and all it needs is nice colour, the right rims, and hight and bingo!

so anyways back to my original car, when i purchased it, it was maroon Aero top 5sp W58, it was 1ggte, it was stock as a rock! no exhaust no nothing!... so i started building it up. and took it off the road for around 6 months and did all the work Solo and by myself. "apart from paint!" that was done by Performance Paint and Pannels.

The end product was:

XR6 Blueprint colour
1JZGTE + R154 201rwkw @12psi 630Nm Torque "that was without the FMIC"
TIEN Coilovers - VERY HARD cant remember spring rate. but i recall purchasing them from a member on here.
Cusco FRONT and REAR Adjustable struts
Twin Oil Coolers replacing the fog lights
TORSEN DIFF "Thanks Koji @ Import spares"
3" HKS Exhaust "catback"
Custom FMIC
17x8.5 245's Front and 17X9 245's Rear AVS White wheels
Slotted front Rotors "i highly recommend this upgrade for anyone who likes to push their supra in the hills. i felt the difference and it was huge!"

so anyway i was the proud owner of that car for a year or so till i sold it as i started working and it dint serve as a daily. I dearly regret selling it and i miss it like hell, but i know the new owner is / has been looking after it. "we keep in touch all the time"

without further or due here are pics of the car. i am sure lots have seen it going around, and may even know the new owner.

If SAsupa want this car at a car show i believe the owner is happy enough to bring it. I also believe he maybe selling the car ..."but i don't have the spare cash to purchase it as i got a holiday to dubai for 40 days coming up in October!"

Enjoy the pics.

Spending Spree

After smacking the roo decided to take the mazda off the road and fix her up for my sisters first car next year, gonna respray it and fix up all the dings and what not.

Bought myself an Excel for $2000 haha. 1998 Model Twin Cam, 140XXXkm, 5sp, has a tiny pin dent in the door, otherwise the paints in great condition, tyres are about 75%, CD player, Mint interior. Was too good of a deal to leave there.

Getting back in to my riding again, might start racing again later in the year and get fit for the States next year, so bought a new bike, pick it up Saturday . Looks like this:

No one will really care, but figured i'd post it up for something to do haha

Hey all

Hi all,

Became a Supra owner recently, and found a nice card under my wiper the other day telling me about this club.

First Name: Shane
Nick Name: Ultima (Internet alias)
Car Year: 1998
Car Model: SZ
Car Colour: Graphite
Car Trans: Auto
Mods: None

Gender: Male
Age: 25
Occupation: Electronics Technician

I don't know much about cars, but I have always wanted a Supra and I love driving. Saw this car for sale at Redline and had to have it.
Hope I can fit in here, and if you'd like to know anything else about myself or my car, feel free to ask

Oh, here's a pic of my car... the only one I have at the moment is the one from the car yard. Want to clean up my car a bit before I take some good photos.

A80 S2 Replacement Key w/ Central Locking Buttons

Anyone know if these are possible to get anywhere? Info I've found so far seems to indicate that the remote central locking was a dealer fitted option in Japan and keys are difficult to get hold of as well as very expensive.

In the event that I can't get hold of a replacement(not a big deal as my alarm system is integrated with the central locking), should it just be a simple matter of going to a local Toyota to get factory replacement keys for the car?

EDIT: I've just found an old post of Darren's here, and it lists these parts:

Electrical Keyless entry remote (non-toyota part) ECR2025
Electrical Keyless Entry Harness Kit 08586-14830
Electrical Keyless Entry ECU Kit (96-98 only) 8585.00921

Darren, can you recall where this infomation came from?

Currently 7 councils have a by-law that means if you have a car parked on the side of a road legally with a For Sale sign you can be fined up to $100. Councils that are known to do this are; City of Onkaparinga, Charles Sturt, Robe, Copper Coast and Holdfast Bay. Another 15 are looking to put it into law there as well.
