Hey, What's up guys

so im trying to organise a specific supra photoshoot, where we will have all the soups lined up and then also do some individual shots on the day

If youve always wanted to have some professional photos taken & edited of your car then keep reading..

The Cruise/Shoot will be on the 10th of June 2012 starting the shoot at pt adelaide with a rough kinda look, then heading to west beach to have a more relaxed sunset look and lastly heading into the city somewhere in a dark alleyway for a real city urban look..

Norman will be taking the photos for us, as photography is a deeply loved hobby of his & he has an amazing camera

$10 is required on the day to give to Norman for all his hard work and effort, but in return you will each get a DVD copy of all the photos taken on the day.

meeting point will be 2:30 at the Pt Adelaide TAFE: 1 Mundy Street, PORT ADELAIDE, SA 5015 (The 1st first shoot location is just down the road so its easy)

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
We are only having up to 10 supras max as it could get a bit crowded and may take too long to do individual shots if there are too many cars, so the first 10 people to say 'yes im attending' that will be it, so first in first served

**NOTE**
If you still want to come along on the cruise, feel free.. but just note that photography will be dedicated to the 10 supras as each person attending the event will be paying for the shoots.

Maps will be provided on the day for all the shoot locations

Sound Off Super Series May Soundoff Cruise

This is not an official event organised by sasupra but it is a great oppertunity to come out and see some of the loudest car audio systems in SA.
The event is being run by the "Sound off Super Series" (SOSS) guys who do a great job and are very passionate about their car audio.
The sound off will be followed by a cruise (route will be given out on the night)

Pre AGM Cruise

With the AGM announced HERE we have planned a simple cruise the night before so that anyone who is unable to make the meeting is able to put forward any ideas they wish to be discussed on the day.

Date: Friday April 20th
Time: 7.30pm (Tentative, if this is too late or early for anyone let me know ASAP).
Meet Point: BB's Cafe @ The Mile End Homemaker Centre.

It will only be a short cruise that will end up in a central location, perfect for anyone heading into town after for a drink or two, you're all lucky this year as the AGM has a later start to allow a certain hang over or two

First 2012 Supra Cruise

Well SaSupra Members its time for the first cruise of the year. We shall call it "2012 SaSupra Barbie Cruise"

It has been a little quite about the forums in the last few months but now is a perfect time to get the ball rolling again.

The cruise will include 2 meet points (1 South and 1 north) to accommodate the wide spread of our members. Then we will make out way to Lyndoch Oval in the Barossa Valley for a BBQ and refreshments under the shade of some nice trees. Aiming to get to the Oval by 1:30pm

It will be great opportunity for new members to come out and meet the rest of the club and great for all us members to catch up, it has been quite a while since I have seen you guys.
We will stick around the oval for a few hours, feel free to leave if you have other commitments.
Leave around 3:30 and make out way back to the meet point No.1 at Mile End.

Ben12a from the forum has kindly offered to let us drop in on the way back through Munno Para to check out his awesome track 1JZ Soarer. We will wait till the day to see if he is still available.

Meet point 2 – ~~Civic Park – Modbury just off of Main North Road before TTP~~
Stratco St Agnes car park - The cruise looks like it will be bigger than first thought so we have changed the 2nd meet point to Stratco where the carpark is huge.
Click Here for a Map (travel time will depend on traffic) Looking to get there at around 12:00pm. Leave at 12:30

A cruise route map will be handed out on the day to everyone participating to avoid getting lost... but we always manage to loose somebody, last time it was us.

BBQ:
Sausage on bread with onion = $1.00
Cans of soft drink = $1.00

I will try and remember to bring sauces this time. Also my mum said she would make her world famous coleslaw so there's another good reason to come out.

If the weather lately is anything to go on, it should be a nice sunny day, perfect for a nice cruise.
We would love to see as many new and old members out to this one as we can to kick off an awesome year for SaSupra.

SA Supra Xmas break up

Well another year is drawing to a close and traditionally we have one last catch up session before the silly season goes into full swing.

The events commitee decided on the Sunday 18th of December.

The last few years we have been able to utilise the amazing bbq and outdoor setting of Mercury's parents overlooking the southern coast line from willunga. I have asked if this is possible again as most like the drive out there.

At this point we will endeavour to meet up at Semaphore and cruise the amazing summer coast line before making our way to willunga.

2012 Mount Gambier Trip

Hi guys, was going back over some old photos from the last time SAS made it's way to the Mount and was wondering who'd be keen to do it all again?!

I've spoken to a few people who made the trip last time and Dean (NOS), Steve (Stika) and Mikey (PHANTOM) are all keen to make the trek down in the new year.

Obviously to make the most of it, the best bet would be to do it in around 12 months time so that 1) the weather is nice and 2) people have PLENTY of time to save up.

In 2009 the Big4 Caravan Park just across from the Blue Lake played host to the members, and although numerous Supra stickers were left all over the place, the Park owner was thrilled to have you guys and said he'd be glad to have you's back! (Silly bloke!) From memory he was an avid car lover also, which is always a bonus!

The 2009 run consisted of visiting a few local areas such as the Tant Caves, a few other photo spots around the place, and other sight seeing spots. This time around I'd like to see what else we can cram in, the possums at night are always a good one.

The big question is going to be the dates, October long weekend is always a good one, HOWEVER, the weather is pretty unpredictable, coming in to November it starts to fine up and give us a bit of Sun, but this is pushing it close to Christmas (shouldn't be a problem if planned well in advance though).

Its Adelaide's best car show on the calendar. Does the club wish to go to the effort this year? I have noticed some supra related activity slowing down of late.

Personally due to working away from Adelaide and the car unchanged i do not wish to enter for the two day period.

if others are really interested then I suggest the single day event on the sunday. its a bit more relaxed but you can still look around at everything, you just wont be able to get on the dyno and win the big trophy's

If people want to enter individually thats fine too. but if you wish to group up with other SA Supra people here is a place to discuss it.

Barossa Bowling & Minigolf

Get ready for another fun day out for the sasupra club.

We are heading to Barossa Bowland in the heart of the Barossa to have a few games of 10 pin bowling and a round of minigolf.

They have the largest 18 hole outdoor minigolf course in South Australia with realistic dinosaurs scattered around the course, there are creeks and plants to boot. They also have an outdoor beer garden where we can have a refreshing beverage, relax and unwind.

Its that time of the year for club members to show off their driving skills and battle head to head in a Grand Prix style race to be named champion of the track... in Go Karts!!!

Time:
~~5:00PM~~ 6:00 Meet in Kart Mania car park for a ~~5:30PM~~ 6:30 booking. We were told to get in there atleast 15min before booking to speed things up.
Sorry about the time guys but on Sundays the Grand Prix sessions only start from 5:30

Price:
$60 per person

Minimum and Maximum attendence:
Minimum Drivers: 8
Maximum Drivers: 14

We need a minimum of 8 drivers and can have a maximum of 14 to make the booking. PM me to secure your spot on the day.

The Race:
SUPER GRAND PRIX

A Super Grand Prix Race session consists of a warm up/practice, qualifying session 10 laps and 4 individual heats/races, 10 laps each.
50 laps total, all races are point scored with the highest total points scoring driver declared the winner and awarded a trophy to take home. Approx 75min

In the event of wet weather the track runs indoor only. The laps are doubled to compensate for the shorter track and the maximum numbers of karts/teams run at once is reduced to 10.

The karts used are equipt with 200cc Honda Four Stroke engines and can reach speeds upto 60kmh!!!

Soft drink is sold at the venue and there is an arcade room if you want to have a bash at pacman or whatever. After the race and trophy presentation we can shoot accross the road to Hungry Jacks for some food or go our seperate ways.

YOU MUST BRING:
All drivers must have fully enclosed footwear - No thongs or sandals allowed! The shoe must have a heel restraint/strap.

Helmets and hair nets are supplied on the day.

Meet point: Paintball Sports, LOT 846 Blackfellows Creek Rd, Mt Magnificent SA 5210 Map
Meet Time: ~~11:00am~~ 11:30am
What to wear: Loose fitting clothing or jeans, t-shirt and outdoor shoes with good ankle support, all footwear must be enclosed. Full camouflage overalls are provided. Scarf & gloves if you are soft. Except for Sledge, he has to wear footy shorts and a tank top...

“Paintball Sports” is on 114 acres of open bushland consisting of 8 vast and different playing fields from winding creeks and trenches.
Each field has been designed for multiple scenarios so the possibilities and outcomes are endless!

We need at least 10 people to come to this as it is the minimum group size. Obviously more would make for a better day. We could have MKI-III’s vs. the MKIV’s, North vs. South etc. The possibilities are endless, it’s up to our imagination.

Games last between 10-15 min with breaks in between to rehydrate and discuss strategies for the next battle. We can play as long as our paintballs last. There is a canteen that sells soft drink and drinking fountains on the field.
After all the paintball action has finished we can use the free BBQ facilities for a feed and have a few drinks whilst comparing battle scars and tell tales of our heroism.

At this stage this is an Expression of Interest post until we get ATLEAST 10 people confirming attendance then it will be a sure thing.
All those interested please PM me by 1st July 2011 at the LATEST so I can make a booking as this is the latest I can leave it to secure a spot on the date.
There is a $10 deposit per person to secure booking with the rest to be paid on the day. I will give further payment instructions responding to a PM about the day.

33rd Annual Show�N�Shine Oct. 1st & 2nd 2011

South East Street Machine Club are doing it again! After a 32 year history of running a high standard Show�N�Shine we are proud to announce our 33rd event. Scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of October this year. For the last 2 years we have teamed up with the organisers of Autofest to combine our events but due to a change of date for Autofest, moving it to the 28th and 29th of January 2012, we have decided to step up to the plate and run our own event again in 2011. This is it, and you are invited to be part of it!

This will be the only major Street Machine event in the Limestone coast area for 2011.

For entrants the event will start on Friday 30th September with registration at our clubrooms. Then on Saturday things get busy, breakfast and registrations at the clubrooms, then a cruise around the region. There will be optional activities in the afternoon which may include visiting local tourism spots, shopping, or watching high level motorcycle racing at Mac Namara park. In the evening there will be entertainment and a meal at the clubrooms. Sunday is show day, entrants will display their cars outdoors at the Show�N�Shine venue where the general public will attend. There will be trade stands, music, and the best classic, street, muscle, and modified cars in the region displayed in all their shining glory.

As an entrant you will be part of one of Australia�s longest running Street Machine Show�N�Shines. You will receive an official event T-shirt, most meals for the weekend will be catered for, and you will be able to relax, cruise and party amongst a group of car junkies just like your self.

As a sponsor your business will get exposure through advertising leading up to and during the event. You will also have the opportunity to trade and display your businesses products or services at the Show�N�Shine and have signage at both the clubrooms and at the Show�N�Shine. Your business name may be on the official event T-shirt and you will be contributing to the running of one of this regions biggest motoring draw cards.

Hey Everyone,

It's short notice to get this thread up, but we will be having an Official Club Cruise Sunday 15th of May.

Well be meeting at BB's Cafe at the Mile End Home Makers Centre at 3:00pm for a 3:30pm roll out.

Cruise will go out in the hills, be roughly 90km of driving before finishing up at the Bombay Bicycle Club on Torrens Rd in Ovingham for dinner in the bar.

Plan is to finish cruising before 6ish, and you can stay at the pub for however long you want!

Hey everyone,

Next club event will be on Sunday the 13th of March.

We will be meeting at BB's Cafe, then heading out to Birdwood for lunch at the Blumberg Hotel, then cruising up north to Nuriootpa, then back to town through Tanunda and Lyndoch.
Will be a great cruise with a combination of twisties and open roads all with fantastic scenery!
Meet time will be 11am at BB's cafe at the Mile End Home Maker center.

Unfortunately I won't be in attendance for the cruise due to work, but one of the other events team members will be running the cruise on the day.

Here are some pictures I took at the 30th annual Street Machine Association show and shine on Friday the 4th February 2011.
It was an awesome day and a really good turnout for cars entered and seemed to be a good crowd presence.

We didnt win anything but we all learnt a bit about sound systems thanks to John, Sorin and the other 2 guys doing the SPL and Sound quality comps. the cars drew quite a bit of attention. Even ice's Hektik VT commo. mercurys scissor doors, and my gear knob. with a few double takes between engines.

This would have to be my favourite of the day, a guy took a R31 skyline and dumped a 5L in it and whacked a custom fit twin turbo setup. What a great piece of engineering. He called it RB50 haha

Beach Day

Hey guys and girls.

Social gathering for this event down at Second Valley, set for Sunday, 20th of February.
Well meet in front of BB's Cafe at the Mile End Home Makers Center at 10:30am and well be moving out at 11:00am sharp for the drive down to Normanville.
At Normanville we will find a bakery or fish and chip shop to grab lunch, then drive the last 20 or so minutes to Second Valley.

When we get to Second Valley, anything goes. Chill out on the beach, explore the old boat sheds, snorkle around the reefs, fishing, or jetty and cliff jumping. For those that have never been, or never heard of Second Valley: http://www.pleasetakemeto.com/australia/second-valley/information

ToyoShow 2011 is booked in and ready to rock!

April 30th will feature a MOTORKHANA!

Old Skool N New Age Auto Show

Hey guys its that time of year again for one of the better shows that takes place in SA.

They have just released the flyers and will be sending letters out to past participants soon.

entry fee is $25 for driver and car +$5 for buddy pass. after 10/03/11 there is a $10 late fee.

I would really like to see SASupra at this show. and after the awesome amount of work we have put in as a group at toyoshow and Autosalon we should keep it going.

Christmas BBQ

Well the year is coming to an end and we all get very busy. Each year we have a Christmas BBQ to celebrate the year and have a final cruise before we break-up. It will be on the 12th of December (Sunday) the cruise will start in a central location and head to Willunga. There we will have our own private parking, BBQ, and play area. (bring footy/soccer ball, frizbe ect)
Food and soft drink will be avalibal but BYO beer ect.

Halloween Cruise

Hey everyone!

Next cruise is on Halloween, so we are gonna do a few things to fit in with the theme.

Cruise meet up will be at 4:30pm, with a cruise start at 5:00pm sharp. Meet up ~~location will be around the city~~ Mile End Homemakers Center, as I'm hoping for northerners and southerners to show up in force.

The cruise theme will be Halloween, so come out as ghosts, grim reapers, zombies or anything else you can think of. Make sure that you can still drive in the costume and if your costume has a mask, please don't wear it while your driving.
If you want, dress up the car as well.

There will be a prize for the person who fits the theme the best.

The cruise itself will be going along the coast for a bit, and then drive into the foothills. A map and details will be given out on the day.

Expected cruise finish will be around 8:30pm, so people who have halloween parties to go to will still be able to go.

The club will be holding a Meet & Greet BBQ on the 19th of September, in Bonython Park, section 11 (Click here for map)

All SA Supra members, Non-members, other car club members and the general public are invited to attend. If you have a Supra or would like to own a Supra, you should be there!

The club will be selling snags for $2.00 and drinks for $1.50, However if you would like to bring your own meat to cook, and your own drinks, you're more then welcome to do so.

We will be kicking the day off at 11am and winding up around 3:30, so bring the family (there is a playground for the kids) and relax with us for the day.

~~September the 25th~~ October the 9th the club is looking to partake in a basic detailing day at Dry and shine automotive in Lonsdale. they can only have 6 cars at the workshop. for space and time reasons. and all those present will be charged as its more about the education than cleaning your car.

They will teach you the what to do and what not to do when it comes to detailing your pride and joy.

Many on here now would not know her but the original crew certainly would. She was a very active member of the club and loved by many. I would like to see as many people out to this as possible so that we can honour her memory. Yeah I know, another thread about paintballing.

As per the previous poll, the most voted date was Sunday, 11th of July

For those that don't know (you should all know!) SA Supra managed to get 20 VIP tickets from International Paintballing Group Australia (IPG.AU) through IcE, who kindly donated them.

What the 20 VIP tickets offer...

Hire for the course

What we all need to keep in mind is that we are unable to book the venue with IPG.AU until a group deposit of $900 is made. Because of this, I want to make the payment about 4 weeks prior to July 11th, which is June 13th. IPG require that the booking be made a minimum 2 weeks in advance, but leaving it that late means that there is a high chance that someone else will book on that day.

The day has been booked, we have 10 more spots open, however you need to send your deposit to the club account before June 30th!

A deposit of $45 each is required to secure a place in the paintballing session, so we will get people to start sending in their deposits as soon as possible. If we are unlucky enough that someone has booked the venue on the 11th of July, we will have to move the event to either the 18th of July or the 25th of July, but we will cross the hurdle if we need to. (hopefully we don't!)

The $45 deposit goes to your first 200 paintballs, but more can be purchased for $15 per 100 paintballs or $12.50 for per 100 paintballs when purchased in bulk (2000 paintballs)
We can also have lunch provided during the session as well so we can chill out and have something to eat!!!

The coupons that we have will be given to financial members first, followed by non financial members, then friends and family.

Please keep in mind:

When you book you will be required to pay for the first 200 paintballs each, at a cost of $45 per person

SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE POST UP HERE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COMING ALONG!

The plan is to get as many people payed as possible before June 13th, Hopefully around the 15 people mark. If we reach that goal, the club is willing to pay the 5 last deposits which will be filled before the date. These final people will be required to pay the club back the $45 that has already been deposited.

If you pay a deposit and decide to pull out before the date, you will need to find someone to cover your place. Once you're in, you're in. Just how Kim (ultra_supra) runs the trackdays.

time to have another cruise at the end of June. heading off to Victor Harbour for lunch.

we will need to gather earlyish so we can make it in the lunch window for some well desrved food.

Starting at Firle shopping centre on Glynburn Road. meet at 10am and depart at 10:30am should arrive in Victor Harbour at about 12:30-1 if things go ok.
the first stage will be through some twisty roads so if people are not to confident they can take the freeway to crafers or mount barker and wait for the others.

I ran the route last night as a navigator Josies madcat. seems pretty straight forward but will make the google notes clearer for the day.

I am at work now so just getting this thread started so people are aware of what is happening. have 6 weeks notice. lets get the numbers up above 10

invite anyone out who owns a supra. if you are friends and they cant drive their car perhaps they ride passenger in your car?

SA Supra Movie & Pool Night

Time to sit down enjoy a movie, have a bite, and shoot some pool.

The night was to be to watch Iron Man 2, But seeing as other have seen it I have put a poll up to see which film people are more inclined to watch. Poll will be open for 1 to 2 weeks.

Plus I have given a choice on where to eat, most people prefer spargos, as it seems, but depending on cost we could consider the all you can eat place Fresh choice, or for the budget conscious there is Pizza Hut.

Times Will be more accurate closer to the date.

OK guys, The events commitee arelooking forward to this event and hoping to get a variety of cars together. we would like to see 8 to 10 cars being on show from all different makes and styles, mk2, mk3 and mk4 the club has a wide range of cars being nice examples of 100% stock to 500kw dyno demons. we should bring out whatever we can get on board. some emphasis on engine, others stereo, others paint. lets represent this at the show.

How it works:

What the SA Supra club is offering

- Full Session of Paintball
- Free equipment hire
- Free latest semi automatic Paintabll gun (Not to keep obviously!)
Public liability insurance
- Hire for the course

What we need to keep in mind
- All bookings are subject to availability
- Your Choice of date may not be available, but alternative dates will always be offered, try o book at least two weeks ahead
- When you book you will be required to pay IPG (the place we are going) for the first 200 paintballs each, at a cost of $45 per person
- Paintballs are not included in the price of the VIP ticket
- We can purchase more paintballs on the day
$15 - 100 Paintballs
$12.50 - 100 Paintballs when purchased in bulk (2000 paintballs)

If i remember correctly, we can also have use of the BBQ Facilities after the session as well so we can chill out and have something to eat and compare wounds!!!

The coupons that we have will be given to financial members firstly, non financial members secondly and then if there are any left over, will be divied up to those who are ring ins. So please, put your hand up now to ensure that you dont miss out!

Please keep in mind:

Cruise To Watch a Mallala Open Day

Alright there has been some (minor) discussion that we should do a cruise up to a Mallala open day to watch some track action and hopefully get a few of you bitten by the track bug.

The 2010 Dates for Cars & Karts Practice days are as follows;
Saturday 6th February
Saturday 27th March (Old School New Age Car Show, Melbourne F1)
Saturday 10th April
Saturday 19th June
Saturday 17th July
Saturday 14th August
Saturday 25th September
Saturday 23rd October

All of those dates listed are also listed on the Drift practice time table except for the 17th of July. So if your not into grip you can still watch some drift action.

Looking at the club events guide we have nothing on or directly around the 6th of February, the March one has the Old School New Age show on the same day so that one is out.

I think the February session might be too soon to successfully organise a club event but if there is interest what does everyone think of going along to the April one? I don't see anything close to it that would interfere with participation levels.

There is a $10 entry fee, I can't tell if it is a day session or a twilight session from the guide, if it is a day one it goes from 10am to 4pm, for a twilight session it is 5pm to 9pm,

I have never been to one of these so if anyone who has could they shout out and let us know what to expect? do they run it grip in the day and drift at night? or is it a mixed session kind of thing? (hybrid_turbo think you said you have been before?)

The AJD juggernaut rolls back into town once again in 2010!

This year, we�re aiming to roll out 5 events across the nation, but of course we�re starting where it all began, in Adelaide. To try and avoid the monsoonal weather conditions of the last couple of years, we�ve moved this year�s event forward to 28 February, and we�ll be back at Wigley Reserve, Anzac Highway, Glenelg.

This year, entrants will need to pre-pay via PayPal with your application before it can be accepted (if you don�t have PayPal access, contact us and we can process your application manually), to save us the dramas of chasing up no-shows from previous years.

Aside from that, what else has changed? Ummmmm�well�not much really. It�s still $10 for entrants, free for spectators (although we�d appreciate a gold coin donation), and all profits raised from the Adelaide event this year will go to the Cancer Council SA.

SA Supra events for 2010

For 2010 there will be one official club cruise (January 10th) before the club Annual General Meeting in March. It will be up to the next Events team (whoever they will be) to organise the cruises for this year.

In previous years there have been club cruises alternating with pub meets. These were supposed to have occurred at the end of every month with the club cruise on a suitable day on the last weekend of that month, and the club pub night (which invariably turns into a car park meet and show) on a weeknight (dinner) or weekend day (lunch) in the last week of the alternate month. The previous event planning group was aware that not everyone could make each and every cruise, but intended to give our members as much notice as possible so that they could reschedule (work, rosters, holidays, family commitments) to participate in the club's events.

ANNUAL BEN SIMPSON MEMORIAL CRUISE

On the 1st Feb 2010 it will be 5yrs since we lost our much loved Ben (dr1ft_pig13). To celebrate his life and membership of this forum we hold an annual memorial cruise, we usually raise money for an associated charity. This year have planned it differently, we will NOT be collecting/asking for donations (the cruise maps will be provided free).

If you have lost a someone recently (no matter how they died) and wish to cruise in their honour please buy a wide ribbon in their favourite colour, write their name on it & attach it to your windscreen wiper.

As this event is always held very close to the anniversary of Ben leaving us it is a difficult time & we ask you to respect our wishes in relation to this cruise/event.

•It will be a relatively short (approx 1.5hrs) leisurely paced cruise, it will pass across the hills face but there will be no intense windy/slider type roads.
•There will be only one cruise group, slowest & fastest all in the same group.
•If your intention was to come & slide....stay home.
•It your car is currently defected & by reasons of the defect unable to be driven, don't bring it.
•As we will not be collecting any $$ it will not be classified as a "charity cruise", therefore I can not write letters for permits
ALL types of cars and drivers are most welcome.

The cruise will be concluding at a GO KART track where Softy will be accepting challengers in the HT.net Grand Prix. This is where you can display your driving "skills" - for those who want to go karting it will cost a max of $25 for 15 laps (10mins).

Come and join us remember those who have left this world long before their time.

This is a Domestic vs. Import dyno competition.
We have limited entries to 48; 24 Domestic and 24 Imports - then using the top 20 scores from each side to decide the winner.
Big V8 Holdens, XR6 Turbo Fords vs. the masters of boost; Toyota Supras, Nissan Skylines and Mazda�s best rotaries.

We will be only accepting the top 20 entries from each side and I'm sure it'll be worth watching as some of the highest powered cars from both sides compete for overall honors as they all try to prove the age old question; who is king?

The cost of the event is $30, this is to cover the dyno; the event is not for profit. (We are hosting it because it's cool, no other reason)

Please apply at; (even if you *think* you dont make enough power, we will let you know if do; no cost until accepted)

This event is also one of the first events to be held at the new Boostworx workshop, so check the address before heading down there!

Ok people, heres the deal:

Its starting to warm up, the weather is beautiful in Adelaide (of course ) and its high time we got a big group together and did something that wasnt quite Supra related. So on this note i bring to your attention that the club has come into possession of 20x vouchers for Paintball. These vouchers cover the cost of equipment hire for the day at the designated Paintball field.

It has been discussed with the committee that these are going to be used for Club Purposes. So what this means is that if your keen, the club will cover the cost of your equipment hire for the day providing you pay for what ever paintballs you use (if your anything like me, that could be a fair bit!).

At this stage, i am after a show of interest, basically who would want to come. When we get closer to the day (yet to be decided) Financial members will be given priority over non financial members (for obvious reasons) but will effectively be working on a first in first served basis.

So hand sup who wants to go paintballing!

Obviously the more the better and id love it if we could use all 20 vouchers in one visit, with nothing but SAS Members!

I will post up the more specifics when i get home tonight, outlining location, cost of paintballs any extras you may need etc.

Hello all!!!!!

I need your help I need to make a car cruise for my final major project which involves me having to film everyone's cars and faces haha (don't worry, it wont be on you tube or anything)

HOPE YOU ALL WILL ATTEND

- Starts: At gepps cross home maker centre - far carpark to the left, just past JB HIFI
- Meetup time: 12pm (leave at 1pm - so no excuses for being late )
- going out to: Tanunda.. finishing up at a winery.. will have a BBQ setup if any1 is interested staying and having a chat and a BBQ (BYO your own meat and beer).

- Maps will be handed out at meetup...

- When: 15TH OF NOVEMBER (ITS A SUNDAY)

Where: Haven't planned it all out as such (will head out to Tanuda Way tho)

im thinking about having it as a day cruise, ~~ON A SATURDAY~~.... Stopping somewhere for all members from all different forums and clubs to stop and have a chat and have fun! Hey everyone, we have been invited to the Extreme Horsepower show at the showgrounds 31st of October.

I'll be getting a fax to confirm all the details but I think the entry cost is about $30, You recieve a free pass with this so you can bring a buddy along.

Concidering that they (the organisers) went out of their way to invite us I'd love to see us come out in force, Toyoshow just dosen't seem to be happening so lets jump on this.
I believe there will be an indoor and outdoor section. Indoor for all those taking it a bit more serious, and those that are just proud of there ride and want to display without being with 'the big boys' can park out the front.
I'll be inside with Sonia at least at this stage but would like to have a bit more company.
Killa, your up for this one! Dragosani, I would really like to see you inside with us as your car is a perfect example of a well maintained stock Supra (tastful mods).

hi guys,

the organisers of the Gazza Nationals have invited SA Supra to display our cars as a club at the upcoming GazzaNats on the October 18/19 weekend. in the absence of Small Car Sunday this year, this event would be the last official big show until Toyo Show in Feb 09.

essentially they want to revive the idea of the Four Six Rotary Nationals that we used to have and give the Canberra Summernats a southern state competitor. this may appeal to those owners/spectators who would normally stay away from Autosalon and are disgruntled with the direction that Small Car Sunday / Toyo Show are going. there also looks to be more events than All Japan Day.

it's unclear at this stage if they will be running official drags on the newly resurfaced AIR drag strip, but we can hope & pray! Reaper may make his debut here...

the general car display fee does appear a bit steep at $170 per entry, but the organisers have assured me that we would get a club discount (TBA) and the club exec have agreed to subsidise our entry fees this year.

we also have the option of hiring a pit garage / marquee (6x6m or 6x9m) for the weekend so the club committee will look at paying for this if we have enough entrants. i am currently negotiating with Sinergy Motorsports to have them share their marquee with us as an alternative.

there is a trophy for Best Car Club and this our opportunity to show the Ford/Holden/Chrysler what JDM muscle is all about

1 Year Anniversary Of Renee's Passing Away Dinner

As most of you may remember, the sad news of Renee's passing was brought to everyone's attention about this time of the day last year.

I would like to hopefully get a group of us together for a meal at the Alma or something after work one day next week to remember that lovely smile and chirpy voice of hers.

Would anyone else be interested in doing this besides myself?

Maybe next Wednesday night from 6pm onwards and have dinner around 6.30pm?

If you're all wondering how I'm coping, I'm going quite ok considering. The memories are like they happened yesterday, so it hasnt really faded in my mind, but more been put at the back of my mind so I can continue to cope and function normally.

I miss her heaps but we cant bring her back, so lets think of the fun times that were had and go from there

Relaxx and i have organised the next cruise which will be two weeks before the Autosalon weekend.

Date: Sunday July 27

O.k. so I'm starting to get a bit unsettled about AutoSalon looming around the corner. I know it's still 3 months away but it's ONLY 3 moths away. Just want to get the ball rolling, say a head count? Who's up this year? What's on the cards? Do we have any ideas of a theme for this year? I'll start.

My first thought for a theme is a race track theme. Old tyres or maybe bails of hay?? Or what about a car park theme. If we get in early enough with a floor plan we might get off the back wall and out more to the middle.

STAGE 1 - 6.00PM (6.30PM Depart) Etsa Stadium Car park (Normal spot)
STAGE 2 - 8.00PM (8.30PM Depart) Botanical Gardens Car park, Hackney Road

Cruise routes will be given out on the night. The cruise will be ending further up North though.

The Botanical Gardens car park is located right on Hackney Road, just after North Terrace (When heading North). It's the angled car parks that run along the side of Hackney Road. It's especially important that you be punctual with these meet points and get there on time to ensure we leave on schedule. We can't afford to wait for everyone to show before we leave. Be there on time though, and you'll be right!

Right, it's that time again. The next cruise will be a night cruise on Friday June 6th. Rough time of departure (To be finalized...) will be a 6.30pm, meet for a 7.00pm roll out. (Route TBA. Route for stage 1 will be urban, obviously. Stage 2 will more than likely be up Lobethal way, due to the better quality of the roads and most peoples familiarity will them, all still up in the air at the moment though!)

As you may have read, it will be a 2 stage cruise involving some posing and a hills cruise. Basically, there will be an initial meet point where everybody intending to drive in stage 1 will meet. We will then depart and drive a city route before meeting in another location and rendezvousing with all those who want to come for the hills drive. You can come to one, both or none. Up to you!

What I need from you is a rsvp in regards to attendance and also, please advise me which stages of the cruise you plan on coming on. This can be finalized closer to the date but knowing who will be coming to the meet points will be especially important as we won't have as much time to gather and depart due to have multiple meets.

The next cruise in planning is more than likely going to be a night cruise. A first for SASupra! (I think )

For obvious reasons, a cruise at night will vary quite a bit from a Sunday drive as we're accustomed to. Because of this, I'd like for everyone to put down some of their preferences in the questions above, so we can try and get as many people out as possible! This poll will be run for a week or so before the date and sign-up lists are posted!

MarveyTech will be continuing the SA Supra sound off as an annual event and is hosting this year's event on Saturday May 10th. An SPL competition will be held at the MarveyTech workshop (two lane dB Drag Racing style - format TBA) and will be combined with our Autumn Dyno Comp at Morpowa nextdoor. This provides the club with its second Dyno Day event for the year and gives our members (and the general public who are interested in Supras) an opportunity to see two different types of kilowatt events with the usual club bbq and drinks available.

With the February Cruise over it's time for the next event!

When: Saturday 1st March
Time: 4:30pm meet for a 5pm departure
Where: ETSA Park
Details: Mini Cruise - stop off at dinner venues for a bite to eat - Ice Skating at Ice Arena Thebarton (7:30pm-11pm)
Cost for Skating is $14 + $3 skate hire but I have secured a deal for $13.50 including skate hire IF we get 15 people or more! - Please Bring Exact Change as we need to pay as a group

Yep, apparently gluttons for punishment, Damo and I are entering the 27th Annual Steet Machine Assoc. Show & Shine this weekend...10 Feb 08.

The show is open to all makes; my concerns about being a couple of Japanese roses amongst a bunch of thorny Aussie and Yank muscle cars were put to rest by one of the show organisers, who has assured me there is a good representation from the 'import' community.
Contrary to their site info, she also advised that entries for judging will be accepted at the gate up to 9 a.m.

Sooo...Who else wants to come play? - I know Wookie will be in!

Around 140 confirmed entries to end of last week - we may not be ultra competitive, but it could be a good comparison to last weekend?

Hey guys thought id take this from ns.com and post it on here because mark and jules who i know well said to invite the supra boys along

long story short mark and jules son ben died from youth suicide a few years ago and since then mark and jules have got into the import scene they currently own a modded black R32 and have been doing this cruise for yrs to raise the awareness of youth suicide. they are some of the coolest old folks i know so on behalf of mark im posting this on here so maybe some of the supra boys can come along to this wonderful cruise below is a snippet taken from the thread on ns.com

"Since Ben (aka dr1ft_pig13) left us on 1st Feb 2005, we have held a memorial cruise on/near the date, to raise awareness of youth suicide. The cruise has out grown the origional starting point. Those who went last year will remember what it was like, some 130 cars trying to park in a space for 90. So we are going to move it from its sentimental start location.

It has now been CONFIRMED...it will be held on the holiday Monday 28th Jan . Apologies to all those who are going to Melbourne & Murray Bridge but the following 2 week-ends are already taken by other events. For those new to NS.com....you are most welcome to participate in this special charity cruise.

Location: ETSA Park
Time: 1pm meet
Donation: Gold Coin going to the White Wreath Assoc for Youth Suicide Education
Tradition: A Teddy Bear on an empty seat in your vehicle
